Default Your thoughts requested on colors

I plan on going with a Long Beach Red, yellow calipers and red seat belts with a black interior. The wife and kids aren't too crazy about the combo.

Your thoughts.

Yellow calipers would be a no go for me.

Edge Red Calipers a better match.

Stay with Black Seat Belts and invest in C8 specific seat belt covers similar to below at. ~ $35/pr. At that price you could buy almost 10 pr in different styles and still break out even. Guaranteed they will be available very soon.

To me this is the equivalent of saying, "don't pay extra for painted calipers, just buy caliper covers and save the money".

Your thoughts.

Funny, that good video with relatively young Cleetus McFarland said LBR is for over 50 folks! Hmm I was ~45 when I bought my 1st Vette that was Red with black interior. For my third, a C6, bought Yellow with Black interior. My 4th, a 2014 Z51, I was semi-retired so got metallic Red but 3LT Kalahari interior. It had Black wheels, which looked fine but got old! My current Grand Sport is White with Machined Face aluminum wheels. Like the combo a lot BUT my 1st and last White car! It gets a visibly dirty rear with one trip to town! Now keep a waterless spray cleaner on a shelf I put between garages and clean it often, PIA!

So was ready to get my C8 6th Vette in Yellow, like my C6, until I saw the Yellow. Guess it and the very light Blue are for "young folk."

Bottom Line: If I wasn't springing for the 3LT Natural Dipped Interior, Black would be my choice for a 1LT or 2LT! Since you mention kids, and IF you have a dog, as I had with my 1st and 2nd Vette who road shotgun, need a dark color IMO! Your choice of wheels, as I said my metallic Red 2014 C7 looked fine with Black wheels but got a bit old in time.

PS: Agree with the poster who said skip the yellow calipers, can't get red as they won't match (nor will the red seat belt I see in your build.) I'm just getting the standard black.

Tell the wife and kids how much you appreciate their input LOL

Personally I'd get edge red calipers or leave them black as edge red matches LBR. I'd also get black seat belts as the red seatbelts are not the same red as LBR.

Everyone likes different things though.

It's like wearing a striped shirt with plaid pants. The colors by themselves have their places, but your combination is really horrid. To each his own, of course, but you will hurt yourself more than help yourself here.

Get rid of those hash marks too. The red accents is going to clash with LBR. IMO

Listen to the wife and kids on this one. Less is more, especially on an already garish sports car. Black calipers, black belts, ditch the fender hash marks. Then you'll have a beautiful car. Just MO.

Your build isn't nearly as bad as some we've seen here.

Here's the answer, flip it. Yellow car, red calipers. I call it the "Hulk Hogan Edition".

After seeing someone post a sebring orange car with adrenaline red interior and yellow calipers this build almost looks normal. But I would get rid of hashmarks and torch red seat belts. Get yellow seat belts to match the brakes?
