There’s like 10 cars on a truck so there will be a lot of trucks I’d bet we see 10 plus trucks a day leaving for a while with the plant making 25 a day.

When GM ships from BG, are straps over each wheel used to secure the cars to the:hauler whether it be by rail or by road.
Looked like AMTRAK Auto Train (Washington to Orlando) service just drives car into the rail car and puts on the ebrake to keep it in place. Wonder if tranny is in Park. I didn't see everything that they did so maybe they did strap the wheels to the rail car . However, on one Auto Train which had to do an emergency stop, there was a big bulge in the front end of one rail car.where the first vehicle got loose and lurched forward into the front end of the rail car and caused the bulge.

They are going to need approximately 19 trucks per day just to ship out the daily production of, hopefully, 190 cars. Twelve cars per hour times 16 hours equal 192.. That, in addition to the number to ship the 2000 car backlog. That's 200 truckloads alone for the backlog. They're going to need a lotta trucks.

Jack Cooper has over 1800 units in their fleet. I saw on another post here that they had moved 200 drivers to BG. Not sure if that is accurate, but Jack Cooper certainly has the ability to do that. I would expect them to be able to load a high amount of transports in one day. Also I would expect Jack Cooper to do just about anything that Chevy needs because it means high revenue and Billings for this particular month. ($1095/ vehicle x 10 vehicles, Gross revenue) This could mean a gross revenue of over $2MM to move the backlog. That’s a lot of revenue for JC.

The drivers are also at the mercy of central dispatch once they leave the plant which means they don't come back empty but go to another place for a back haul . There is no quick fix for all the cars sitting
Not sure we're you get tge 1095$ per vehicle that's simply not true

$1095 is shippping fee charged by Chevy on every car, Understand that is not what JC gets but it is still gross revenue. GM has over 2000 sold cars they need payment on. I’m sure that they are going to push JC hard to deliver every car they can as fast as they can so they can get the $$ in the bank. With 2000 units in their fleet and multiple years of hauling for GM I’m sure that they will be able to fast track drivers to the road. It maybe a ramp up just like the plants 2nd shift, but JC and GM have everything to gain to get those vehicles billed and on the books. Bowling Green has not produced a billable vehicle for at least 60 days. A big hole that was budgeted but still will be a target to beat. Bonuses are at stake. 😁
