Default No C8 commercials yet?

Hope it's a good one and not a "chevy family" type thing.

At this point, they don't need to spend money on commercials for the C8.

It's rare that you'll ever see any network commercials for a 2-seat sports car, unless it makes a halo appearance for an entire company's line. You rarely see TV ads for Miatas, 911s, etc., because the target market is so small. It's like driving a nail with a sledgehammer. Targeted, niche marketing is far more cost-effective.

Why have commercials for a car that isn't even at dealers yet?

How do you sell more than all you can make?

So you want them to raise the price to afford TV advertising?

If you already know about the C8, why would you need to see a commercial? And advertising is very expensive. Why spend many millions for a commercial when there are no C8's at a dealership for a potential customer to look at?

There have been a few. Here is the C6 commercial:

And here is the C7 commercial:

But I don’t think a commercial is necessary for the C8. It’s pretty much selling itself. And besides, why drum up interest, only to have someone see the commercial, then stop in a Chevy dealership only to be disappointed because there are no C8’s on the lot?

The C8 8s doing great thus far without any money being spent on commercials.

Me either. But if one airs, GUARANTEE NO ONE HERE WILL TUNE OUT the way we do with a gieco commercial. Tomorrow is a big day, don't be too surprised.

That was great Big Dave....I had never seen those......the one with the boy and jumping jack flash was great fun......reminds me of a Porsche commercial ......I think...of a kid hearing a Porsche and daydreaming in class...…and of the time I got caught reading about the fuel injection on the 57.and had to make a presentation on it to the class the next day as "punishment"....thanks......

Chevy spends very little advertising its sports cars. The Camaro and Corvette see very little ads because they figure the people who want the car already know about it and in turn this saves them a ton of money.

GM and their marketing team should stay away from TV commercials. Just look at the disasters they produce now - some "smart guy" with the equivalent of a 7th grade education is impressing a bunch of already Chevy owners who all appear to be cast rejects from the "Justified" series (with no discernible education at all), tricking them with simplistic questions their grade school children can answer.

If they did a commercial that people would want to watch, C8 or any other car, just put some dogs in the car like Subaru does. Everyone wants to watch those to the end...and over and over....
