I didn't want that plate any way ........ NOT
So I get on the www.myplates.com website last week and lock down a personalized plate for the C8. Bingo ! It's approved, so I order it. Yesterday I get an email from special plates branch advising me that upon further review ............. it will not be issued. I'm like "say what ?" So I call down state am told that the new computer format kicked it out because of the WKD. In fact I'm told that any other plates in use with WKD will not be renewed. Gonna be a bunch of pizzed off peeps out there.

.....but I do not think WKD is perceived to be read as "Wicked" to the DMV.
OP: Did they say exactly why WKD is unacceptible and what their interpretation of WKD means?
Edited: A quick search online shows WKD as an alcoholic beverage. Perhaps that may have something to do with it. Stupid though. Especially if you state your plate as "Wicked Fast One."
The rejected my plate at first (7SPDMAN) because it referenced "gender" or some BS about gang violence. Fortunately after showing them the sales order and highlighting 7 Speed Manual transmission the reject board approved my plate. I dont get them peeps down in Austin, what are they saying wicked relates to?
Not that you'll have much ground to stand on but I would go thru the appeal process. Took me an extra month to get my plate but by God I got it!

My thoughts exactly. Sadly, the appeals process is exasperating to say the least. It is designed to cause people to not want to appeal. Such is life.

Heh ........ With the way things are going, I may not be alive when the car is finally produced some time this century (I hope ....... ).
Do you have immediate plans to do a twin turbo setup or something? Being so bold as to say your ride is "wicked fast" in TX with a stock car is kind of dumb IMO...

That seems to be the problem. What the website oks doesn't happen once the order is formally submitted with a payment. At some point after, a second set of more strict criterion kicks in before the order to mfg gets transmitted to our state prison in Huntsville that makes the plates. Who knows .........

My intent was to lock down the plate so that once I could order a Z06, it would go on it.

DMV here in Florida wanted to know what "MURDOUT" meant on my '15 Silverado Blackout pickup,...I told them Murdock Outback Steakhouse!..it worked!...Murdock is the local community I live in.
