I'm not sure which I prefer. I like some things about one and other things about the other.
C8:
New design, looks good from the sides and front, but I don't like the rear.
Mid engine, better traction for the drive wheels.
Better seating position, more forward than the C7.
Better interior by far.
Dual clutch transmission. I like automatics, that's just me.
Can automatically lift the front end to clear obstacles, steep aprons.
C7:
Easier to wrench on. C8 looks like a nightmare if you want to change plugs and wires for example. Can you even get to the air filter or spark plugs without lifting it on a 2 post lift?
Looks good all around, even from the rear.
I like the stock wheel designs better on the C7 than the C8.
There was a parking garage I walked past every day that had a 458 always parked on ground level. One day a C7 was parked next to it and, comparing side by side, more than held it's own in the looks dept.
This is one of two things I haven't liked too much about the c7 (rear is the second), I personally think it lost its true coupe appearance by how far back the rear window part goes, it almost looks like a Ferrari ff if anything. Compare it to my c6, it's not a huge difference but I personally think it looks a bit sleeker . The C8 looks like a real coupe again IMO. Either way both the c7 and c8 are light years ahead of the c6 technology wise

The C7 design is a 'beautiful' one, Like the Ferrari. The flowing curves surely have some 'golden ratio' to them. There are ME's with that same trait: flowing curves which can also be considered a 'beautiful design'. To me, the C8 front end does something that detours from that path. Can't quite put my finger on it.
I, personally, think the C7 from a styling standpoint is arguably more appealing to look at...but not by a lot. My opinion might change after I see the 'Z' variants as they will likely have a wider stance, different wheel designs, body kits, etc. However, in other areas, the C8 is a far better car in all ways - performance, quality of materials, value, electronics,etc. My biggest gripes were (supposedly) addressed in the new C8 variant...namely some plasticy interior bits, laggy touchscreen/hard-mounted controls, and a so-so sounding audio system. That being said, as a whole, my opinion is that the C8 is the winner. To this end, I've sold my C7 and have an order in for the C8.
Thanks for the pics. Sorry but I see a lot of similarities in the over-all layout and look. Large side vents or (side fairing), large front bumper vents, stance et. I think the C8 looks better from the front but the *** end on the NSX looks better. Just my .02. Good to know on the golf clubs.
