These clowns want 5k over MSRP on new builds. They lost this customer.

Yep, went to deal with them back in August and they wanted 10K to talk. Lost a customer for life. Went to Jim Ellis in Atlanta. great experience so far.

You know what would be interesting. If somebody called them and said they were willing to pay UP YO $8K above sticker. Would they accept it or revert to their $5K that they mentioned to you? The same dealers asking for these premiums are making people believe they will not get a C8 for MSRP until 2022.

Don't order from him.
The fewer orders he takes, the fewer future allotments he gets.
He is only screwing himself.

YUP! I went to Whittaker in Nov and again in Dec. Called on a Friday to verify they needed a refundable 5K down to get on his list. They called me back about 30 minutes later and said the price would be 5K over sticker for a Vert. Told them to shove it. Went to MacMulkin.

Whittaker is sooooo smart, he ordered 50-60, 2019s probably figuring to up his 2020 allocation. Gotta sell them to increase your allocation. Last time I looked at his lot he was swimming in 2019 Vette's. Bon Chance Chump!

For those in this area, Greenville/Simpsonville, S C, and interested in courtesy delivery, Bradshaw in Greer seems to have their ducks in line and are definitely interested. Nice people too. No, they're not cousins.

Whittaker is not interested. I dont get my vehicles serviced at Whittaker any longer.

Obviously the guy is an idiot! He has been pulling this stupid stuff since the end of the C6. He is so stupid that he has millions of dollars invested in a dealership that he obviously does not understand how to run the way you guys think he should. Probably a millionaire as well personally. It is a Bitch to try to buy one of something from some fool who either does or will own multiples of!

Funny how they are now getting greedy. When I was living in the Myrtle Beach SC area all the surrounding dealers were at MSRP or greater for the then new C7 Stingray. Kevin Whitaker in Greenville SC actually discounted $2000 and gave me $2000 more for my trade than any of the Myrtle Beach area dealers. This was in early January of '14 when very few were around.

Default Just the Facts

You should offer MSRP. If they say no so do you. Remember, any dealer holds a pat hand at MSRP.

Isn't GM pulling allocations for dealers charging over list?

Agree I avoid them at all costs. The dealer in Greer is good and can’t recommend Hendrick Chevy of Atlanta enough.

I did offer MSRP. Their response was they would, “put me on a list”.

Just for fun....Let's say one you guys that is SO mad at this dealer got an early C8 (let's say next month). One day, you're putting gas in the car and some guy walks up to you and says: "Man, I love your car, do you want to sell it?"
Now, I'm pretty certain EVERY single one of you guys would say: "Sure, I'll sell it to you" (and tack on $10K or more)
Thought so.

Seriously, what part of "supply and demand" did you guys sleep through. Dealer's money....Dealer's car....he is ALLOWED to sell it for what HE wants to. Because we're in America, WE can either take the price as offered or move on....I'm missing the problem

PS. When you walk into the dealer to buy a Silverado, do you say: "No, DON'T give me $12K off MSRP, I want to pay sticker". Works both ways.

You are absolutely correct. Any dealer can sell anything for whatever he can get for it. Just as we can bad mouth and shun any dealer who gouges us or tries to.

Sure they are ALLOWED to do whatever they want. That doesn't change the fact he will still be looked at as a greedy clown when most other dealers are charging sticker.

I bought my 17 GS from them 3 yrs ago and got a good deal, wasn't crazy about my salesman. Wouldn't buy from him again. Sorry to hear this.
