I had my agent run it based on a VIN I found online for a loaded up Z51 3LT. It was $100 a month so about $26 more than my C7 was.

I have been with USAA since 1978 and tried to get a quote but they told me they couldn't quote it unless I had a VIN number.

Anyone know of a VIN # I could use. It doesn't mean anything except for getting them to give me a quote.

My home sits right on the City/Town line. My garage is in my rear yard in the City but the entire front of my property is in the Town. As far as my insurance company is concerned I park my vehicles in front of my house in the town because the difference for the place of garaging is over $1,000 per year for three vehicles. My State sets the insurance rates so there is no saving using Geico or USAA. I do get discounts for low mileage, over 65, multi-car, driver ed, loyalty, etc. but it still cost me $780 for my 5 year old 2015 C7. If it was "parked" in the City the bill would be over $1,200.

Interesting....... I didn't need a VIN # to get a quote. I've had USAA since 1969. I just clicked on get a quote for a vehicle, put in the 2020 Vette, 3LT and Z51. Gave me a detailed quote. Asked if I wanted to add it , and I replied NO just save a a quote. I will wait until I have a ViN # then add it.

It's still surprised me how cheap the insurance quote was. Usually cars with aluminum components are very pricey to cover.
Just to put the Ferrari pricing into perspective, my dad's 488 cost him nearly $10k a year with Travelers. That was NUTS.

The old man have me **** when I ordered the C8. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT THING IS GOING TO COST TO INSURE? YOU ARE GOING TO BE SORRY".
HA. He drives a 911 GTS now and brags that it costs him nothing compared to before. Until I showed him my NCM quote.
