Default I'll be cancelling both my order deposits ...

...because one of my dealers called today and said he is getting a Jan 25 build car and do I want it. Nobody else on the pre-order list wanted it, so it'll be mine in a couple of weeks.

So two more people move up!

At MSRP. No games. I thought a CTF but he confirmed the born on date today so a really early car. I thought he said they ordered it in April last year and it is now just showing up with no pre orders wanting it.

They are next to the Tonawanda engine plant and have been the #1 dealer in the US many times so It’s not surprising they got One of their cars early. They just don’t sell a lot of vettes. Anybody still looking should call them. They have 26 allocated and I was 13. I bet they still have spots and they are pretty straight up.

i haven’t stroked a check yet, haven’t seen the price yet, but here is the build sheet. I trust Tony to follow.

How does that configuration compare to what you had on order?

Never got to order. I had a deposit in there and Hendricks. I would have got something mid to late year there or maybe not at Hendricks with the cuts, and this one is right there. Always believed a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I’d say it was mostly what I would have ordered. I’m a low key guy so a low key color is good. I would have gone for magnetic ride control but that is the only thing I think was really missing. I don’t suppose I will drive it much anyway. More for family and guests to use.

The thought of having an America mid engine sports car in the garage and one I’ll be cheering on at the WEC and at home was too much to resist. My daughter and I joke about getting it wrapped in the race livery. Might just do that if they do well at Lemans.

stay tuned.

Yes, correct. The CTF cars have a 5000000 VIN and the regular production cars will have a 5100000 VIN. GM is allocating some of the final CTF cars to dealerships across the country, this being one of them.

Captured test fleet, it's the first 500 or so cars built that aren't customer ordered cars to get the plant and staff comfortable making the new car.

Captured test fleet. They're cars that are basically production spec but have been produced before the start of regular production. Most of the cars we've seen driving around by GM employees/execs are CTF cars. Most if not all of these will be sold to the public.

You guys love getting hung up on the CTF thing. If a car is delivered as new, with close to 0 miles, is it really CTF, or is it just a pre-production car? Is there really a hard and fast rule that any vette with the 50 vin instead of 51 MUST be CTF?
