What kind of uniform? Do you think dealers charge the military more?

Neither the corvette nor GT500 are supercars. The base model C8 is a sports car not even close to current supercar standards.

This. No sense paying more than what GM sets the price at for the car.

95% of the Mustangs built since 2008 are still on the road....the others made it back home...

It means you write the check for the price of the car, MacMulkin attaches temporary plates (free) on the car and drive it home. Then visit your local DMV and pay your states sales tax (if any) and registration fees. Then your state will mail the title to you.

If you buy a car "out the door" that includes all the taxes and frees....dealers in WA. collect the taxes and title and license fees... and then the dealer can aggregate them to his advantage.....so it is irrelevant to the buyer how much is charged for what... you just pay the total....easy peasy….

The guy that just paid over invoice knows what he is doing...

The new McLaren GT ,with a starting price of $215,000 only hits 0-60 in 3.1 seconds with 612hp and lighter weight than the vette I think GM has made a statement right out of the box with it and future higher performance versions will be even more impressive. May not be a "True" super car but it matches up pretty damn well, my 2 cents

I doubt your going on to get a bunch of people line up and admit they paid over MSRP. I held out and scored an MSRP deal but 10 of the 11 people in front of me at the dealership paid a markup.

I think this whole “MSRP Plus” is a small/local dealer thing. Many people new to Corvette don’t know about Courtesy Delivery or NCM Delivery. They probably walk into their local dealership, get told it’s MSRP+ and think that’s just the way it is.

Agree to disagree. The C8 beats most other supercars in most aspects, and for a fraction of the cost. To me cost does not equate to supercar or hypercar.

My good friend ordered one for $5K over MSRP. The $5K doesnt bother him, he just wants the car.

BTW - I've never bought any car from a dealer without some sort of fee, so I call bullshit on that.
Prove it when/if it happens.

Recently, we paid $150 for "Documentary Fee" and have no idea what that is.

Unless you have just got to have one of the first year C8s (where people are paying over sticker or sticker) Just wait. $10,000 over sticker NOW down the road $10,000 under sticker. Stands to reason If they are geared to make near 40,000 a year and supposedly 37,000 are sold(right) then the next year (2021) they'll make about 40,000 there will be lots of C8s out there. I seriously doubt they will be "sold out" 2 years in a row

Call MacMulkin and prove it to yourself. The price advertised on their web site is what I paid for the car. They even tossed in the temp plates, no charge. I am sure 100's more on this forum can back me up on this.

A base model corvette doesn't touch other supercars except maybe 0-60 but after that it gets beat. Name another supercar with sub-500hp. The corvette is a bargain sports car not anywhere close to supercar standards.

Nobody on the Internet pays fees, ADM, or anything of that nature and they usually get the car OTD at invoice.

If you are a member of this forum and ignored all of the dealers who offered the car at MSRP because "you have a good relationship with your dealer." you totally FAILED. White glove, pick-up, all of that means NOTHING once you get the car. It will be like every single other one-- ignorance is sometimes fascinating. 10k extra to a dealer because you "have a good relationship with them?" lol they are just working you.

there's a sucker born every minute. people did that with the first gen c7 lmao.

over msrp = you are either lazy, can't read or as another user stated "uninformed."
