Dealer just called to say my order goes in today - 1LT Z51, FE4, Rapid Blue, etc.
Said they got 5 allocations today and my order is #1 on the list to go in. I don't fully understand the process at this point, but that's what they said. He's going to text me a picture when the system shows 2000 status (currently 1100 retail sold). I put my deposit in back in May, sold my C7 in June and started as #7 on their list (they received 75 allocations for MY2020). Enough dropped out that I became #1, but the constraint ramp-up plan had me floating in the wind... now that the plan is off, my #1 spot stops floating and my order goes in

The horses have gotten ahead of the wagon on this thread, in fact facts have become somewhat disconnected from reality. Here’s facts:
1) Dealers were told today their exact total allocations for next Thursday.
2) Dealers can enter orders at any time, today (as far back July 20th), or next Tuesday for next Thursday morning. They can and have been able enter hundreds in the GM WorkBench Connect ordering system, but right now (and before) unless we are talking about orders picked up and matched with a GM allocation for the September consensus, all the orders come to a grinding halt at status 1100.
3) No order will be picked up before next Thursday the 19th — the official start of December’s consensus. Starting next Thursday morning, every order entered into the WB system and matched with a GM allocation that the dealer has chosen to further match with a specific customer, can and will move forward; nicely for those matched orders, by the following Tuesday, Christmas Eve, they would be at least 2000 status but most likely 3000 status.
Again if an order is entered between now and next Thursday, it too will go no further than status 1100 until next Thursday (which starts the six day consensus in which orders matched with an allocation move forward).
4) Well prepared dealers have been entering orders into the WB system for a while, for they know that they can not enter a huge amount of orders on Thursday morning. They want to insure they slowly and methodically and correctly enter an order into the WB system — and why the excellent salespersons have been already doing so.

Hendrick Chevrolet in Norfolk, VA. They are in the higher 40s of the top 50 and are #1 for Corvette sales in Virginia. They received 75 allocations for 2020 MY in total.

I just emailed my dealer at Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, RI to see if my order will go in today. When I ordered it back on July 26th he wrote on the order form that we were #7. I ordered Zeus Bronze Metallic 3LT Z51 with Spectra Gray wheels and two tone Natural interior. ($82,135) Now that GM has abandoned the ramp up plan I assume that my order will go in with this consensus or on the 19th. Although I am very eager to get my new C8 here in Massachusetts most Corvettes don't come out of hibernation until late April or early May which is when I expect delivery. I managed to sell my 2015 Z51 3LT DSOM last month but had to drop the price into the low $40Ks.

What TPW did they give you? If your dealer only got 5 allocations for this cycle, that seems like a lot less than was promised. I thought this December cycle was supposed to make up for all of the October and November orders?

Congrats. You're one of the most level headed and respectful people around here. I really hope you're among the first to get your car

That is awesome, there was so much speculation that they wouldnt give out allocations till the 19th and then be done for the year, this is hopefully good news that they indeed will have two dates this month.

You thought wrong. December is just restarting what should have gone on in October. Everything was delayed 2 months by the strike.Production starts in Feb instead of Dec. Supposedly the only thing different is that the roll out constraints on trim level, etc. have been eliminated.

Congrats! I was actually hoping your TPW would be before mine because I actually enjoy listening to what you have to say. Can't wait to see that rapid blue and learn the tricks of the FE4.

I'm hearing the internal production schedule will still follow the original constraint plan. So even though my order will go in very soon, my TPW may not be until late March or April. We shall see.
