Congrats Tool on your order going in . I also got the call yesterday. I had been in the on deck circle for a while. Now it's going in. I'm going to be in Bowling Green on March 13th for the C8 Track experience. Wonder if my car will be built around that time? Alot to look forward to.
The horses have gotten ahead of the wagon on this thread, in fact facts have become somewhat disconnected from reality. Here’s facts:
1) Dealers were told today their exact total allocations for next Thursday.
2) Dealers can enter orders at any time, today (as far back July 20th), or next Tuesday for next Thursday morning. They can and have been able enter hundreds in the GM WorkBench Connect ordering system, but right now (and before) unless we are talking about orders picked up and matched with a GM allocation for the September consensus, all the orders come to a grinding halt at status 1100.
3) No order will be picked up before next Thursday the 19th — the official start of December’s consensus. Starting next Thursday morning, every order entered into the WB system and matched with a GM allocation that the dealer has chosen to further match with a specific customer, can and will move forward; nicely for those matched orders, by the following Tuesday, Christmas Eve, they would be at least 2000 status but most likely 3000 status.
Again if an order is entered between now and next Thursday, it too will go no further than status 1100 until next Thursday (which starts the six day consensus in which orders matched with an allocation move forward).
4) Well prepared dealers have been entering orders into the WB system for a while, for they know that they can not enter a huge amount of orders on Thursday morning. They want to insure they slowly and methodically and correctly enter an order into the WB system — and why the excellent salespersons have been already doing so.
Congratulations to those about to have there C8 orders being submitted. It looks like the gates are finally opening. I do caution everyone that they should be absolutely sure of their order as placed by their dealer as I expect many if not all will move to status 3000 in a very short time, thus not being able to be changed. Below is how quickly mine went from 2000 to 3000.
From what I've read today they were basically notified of allocation spots. Next week they actually get to submit them. We should have formal 2000 status next week and possibly TPWs.
That's my understanding as well. My dealers (1) allocation was assigned to me Thursday (retail sold order in since late July) and indicated I had until next week to make any changes before formal submission..

I am updated on my status every time it changes and an email is sent to me with a screen grab picture from the order process. I’m dealing directly through my Dealer’s Sales Manager who is very proactive and excited about the C8 as we all are. So far still at 3000 and expect that not to change until after Jan 1, 2020.
EDIT: My current TPW is 02/17/2020.

Better than me.... I was #1 at a low allocation dealer but got bumped by a 2LT/3LT order that got picked up before the strike. My call today I was told 1/8/20 my order should move forward.
P.S. CONGRATS to Tool Hoarder. Cannot wait to hear his reviews.

Congrats. Man, it's nice to finally see these moving forward. I'm eager for you to get you car and provide some real world feedback, as you're one of the folks in here whose opinion I trust and respect.

Yes a second DOSP for December would be nice. I'm going to call my dealer on the 20th and see what he says about orders going in and if I'm any closer to getting my 1LT to 2000 or 2500....

Clearly you didn’t read the thread... they sold out of all 75 allocations.
I just emailed my dealer at Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, RI to see if my order will go in today. When I ordered it back on July 26th he wrote on the order form that we were #7. I ordered Zeus Bronze Metallic 3LT Z51 with Spectra Gray wheels and two tone Natural interior. ($82,135) Now that GM has abandoned the ramp up plan I assume that my order will go in with this consensus or on the 19th. Although I am very eager to get my new C8 here in Massachusetts most Corvettes don't come out of hibernation until late April or early May which is when I expect delivery. I managed to sell my 2015 Z51 3LT DSOM last month but had to drop the price into the low $40Ks.
