Not everyone is going to like every color, that's why they give us options. This year, there are 12 color options, which is fantastic! In 2019, Corvette Racing Yellow was the choice for only 3.75% of total 2019 Corvette orders. GM isn't trying to give us a new yellow to set color sales records for. They're doing it to appeal to buyers who want something different, and they know any shade of yellow is going to be a relatively low ordered color. But it's awesome that they have given us more choices than ever (except when they technically offered 16 color options when you could select four two-tone options from the 12 base colors).

They’d sell more yellow if it was a classic hot rod yellow. Velocity was the perfect shade.

GM doesn't often mess with their bread and butter colors. Arctic White, Torch Red, and Black. Us yellow fans just wish they’d stick with Velocity Yellow as it’s perfect. They tried to experiment with red and customers revolted until Torch Red returned at the end of the C6 Gen. They axed Precision Red after 2005, and then used Victory Red (a very nice color), but everyone wanted Torch back.

Austin Yellow
I don’t think the corvette’s yellow compares, I was hoping it would have this tone... mind you this has the sun on it. BTW, everyone complained this yellow had too much green, but in person you don’t see it!

Look it also lacks the 2" lift kit that they is installed on the corvettes, notice the wheel gap?

I'm not a yellow car guy - but this doesn't strike me as any better or worse than previous yellows on corvettes - just different.
I do think that car badly needs to not have black wheels and for the grilles/vents/trim covers to not be body color.
Incorporating some sort of gray striping or accenting would look reminiscent of the C8R.

I don't see the green. I just see a brighter yellow than before. Closer to the Lamborghini version than the old school yellow. I wouldn't buy either car.
I do think the new color would look better with better accent coloring though.
That is possibly the ugliest angle to photograph the C8 too.

Melting Slicks
I don't like it. Too much gold but gold would look much better. Seems to combine the worst of yellow, green and gold. Hard to know how it could go so wrong. I'll bet is looks great in real life, one of the colors that doesn't photograph well.
