There is no status.... I have no interest in buying a car I've never driven and in its first year of production. I'll keep my C6 for a couple years and ses how or if the C8 evolves.

You're very welcome. It was a honest response unlike many of your trolling posts.

Yeah I'm quite picky about stuff. Will not buy a car or motorcycle without driving or riding 1 first.

Bought seven Corvettes and never test drove any of them. And, bought the first model year C6 and first model year C7, and had only one issue with the C6 (noisy clutch packs in the rear end), and one issue with the C7 (bad ribbon cable leading to the NAV). Glad I didn’t hold off and deny myself years of driving pleasure.

That is your choice and I'm glad it worked out for you. My choice as I said is to wait, I didn't bash the car or anyone for buying it sight unseen.

I'm not worried about any problems. With today's r&d and quality control. If there are any problems it will covered by the warranty.
But for the guys waiting. How are you going to feel when you see the new c8 on the road. And say dam I wish I didn't wait.
Because you know you are going too.

I've got a Shelby GT350 and a C6 that's getting a built motor and blower so when I look past the hype of the C8 in base form I don't see it replacing either of my 2 and nothing that's a must have for me yet. Maybe the Z06 will or maybe since we have a little one on the way a 911 with its child sized back seat will be something I enjoy more.

When you order your C8 you can select a cover.

I ordered the outdoor cover and dealer said it will need to be modified to fit over my high wing. That said, I have the indoor cover on my C7 Z and I always hate pulling down over the rear quarters, even though I make sure the car is clean. I hope I can have the cover modified to fit. Even though I bought the outdoor cover I will use it indoor.
