Saw the C8 today
The tour stopped at Sterling McCall Chevy in Houston. The blue one making the rounds in Texas was there. I wish the dealer had done a better job managing the crowd. You ‘had’ to sign up for a reservation spot, but in the end they let everyone in. At least 100 folks crowded around the car at all times, frustrating. Line to sit in was 30 minute wait, passed on that. Dealer has 12 allocations available.

I stopped by too. Was frustrated as well that they let in the people in front of me even though they didn't register. What was the point!? I guess it was just a trick to get my info? The car was very nice but I'm surprised they haven't replaced that worn out seat or fixed the broken cup holder cover. Both those concerned me a little

I pre-registered and got a wrist band, but I believe that only entitled you to a C8 poster and dealership T-shirt. Agree that the event was not well organized - got there at 1 pm and there were mountains of hot dog buns but no hot dogs. The sales guy walking down the line waiting to sit in the car said they they had 12 allocations, but would not commit to MSRP, just said “come talk to me”.

I went to both the Classic Chevrolet and Lonestar Chevrolet events in Houston and was able to sit in the car within 10 minutes of arriving at both. I did RSVP to the event at Classic but did not have to register wonder why it was such a cluster at SM. I arrived shortly after both opened but read that others at Classic had the same experience. BTW Classic is selling at MSRP.

I went as well and while it was great to see the car, they clearly were rushing people in and out when sitting inside. I guess that made sense given all the people in line. But it didn't do much to help convince me to buy. Since it was the only Houston event on a weekend, the crowd (including me) had a lot more flexibility to make it there. I might try to make it the Parkway Chevy event in Tomball on Thursday to get a little more time with hopefully a lot smaller crowd.
I'm not really sold on ordering until I can drive one. However, I did like the blue paint much better in person than on the simulator.
