Default No C8 at the Seattle Auto Show

Had to go to Vegas to see the C8 in person, no dealer brought one to the NW. Next week is the Seattle auto show, a big event and only one in the NW, called their office to see if a C8 will be there...the answer NO. GM is sending cars all over the US and they will not send one to Seattle...don't they realize there is a lot of young and old money up here, they would probably give up their BMWs and Mustang 500 if they saw the C8....I don't get it !

IMO the first public showing at a show will be the LA Auto show with a lot of PR hype. LA is the first major show of the season. Normally what Chevy shows at SEMA they bring over.

It's already been to Miami and will be in Tampa.

Glad to hear they will have one in Tampa.

I was flying over there to visit some Family that weekend, so I guess I'll have to take a couple of hours to go check it out.

Planned the trip a few Months ago, so I guess I lucked out. Time to buy a Lotto Ticket...

My guess is that the sell though in Seattle is weak. My wife and I were there for six days on vacation last month and I only saw one Corvette on the road.

As I posted in another thread I was told at the Miami show that the silver convertible they have in Miami will be at the Tampa show next week.

At the Oklahoma City Auto Show, the dealers bring vehicles to show off. The manufacturers aren’t involved other than sending some reps and pamphlets. I don’t expect that the C8 will be hitting the show circuit until it’s in production. It’s never been a prototype or concept car, just a straight to sale design.

Seattle drivers obey all posted speed limit signs even when there are no other cars on the road. (I'M NOT KIDDING, SEEN IT MYSELF!)

On principle I am sure its ok for Corvettes to be there, but in reality it tortures a Corvette's soul.

The top Seattle/Renton dealer (Good Chevrolet) is #45 on the list of top Corvette dealers, based on Corvettes sold from JAN through JUN in 2019. Good Chevrolet only sold 23 Corvettes up through June of this year. Doesn’t make sense to invest a lot of money in an area where Corvettes don’t sell.

Sorry not many vettes out while you were here in the Seattle area. It must have been raining (which it does a lot) and we don't drive them in the rain, they might melt. But seriously GM, Chevy, and the local dealers should showcase the 2020 Corvette at the Seattle Auto show and demonstrate their interest in attracting new customers and peaking the interest of all the many fans they have up here in the NW. If you want more sales support the program. This is just plain poor marketing in a very lucrative market. Chevy's marketing manager should be fired!

What's the point of bringing C8 to a local show when production doesn't start until February and is already booked for months?

So, they've already attracted more customers than they can serve right now. And interest is already piqued -- you're here. They don't need more sales right now. GM's marketing folks know what they're doing.

Disappointing but not surprised. I’m glad I got to see it at the OC Auto show, but it’s a bummer the PNW has to wait to see it in February near the tri cities.

You’d think with every dealer in the area with max deposits per allocation they’d want to showcase the C8 at a press show. Oh well.

The car will be in Pasco on Feb 10th. I’m not interested in it but will go check it out. I’m in Portland so it’s the closest so far.

Seattle thinks it is a lot more important and enlightened than it really is. Sad to say, but it is really kind of pathetic.
