Default 2020 C8 center console??

I'm set to place my Order, but paused when I got the new Motor Trend & saw more close ups of the Interior.

Is there anyone else not thrilled with the Center Console?? It appears that Drive & Passenger are isolated from eachother.. 99% of the time my Wife will be the Person sitting next to me.. No Danger of anything ever happening with that Mountain between us... Even just an innocent Hand on the Leg..

My god, yet another useless thread cluttering the forum, when you could've posted in the 100 other existing threads already discussing the interior.

It's been commented on before that the C8 interior will contribute to celibacy while driving. Definitely not a car to park in either.

I sat in it for the first time today and yea, you are separated, but it's not like it's a giant pick up truck or something. You're still sitting within of inches each other. Also what on earth are people doing in their car that they're that concerned with intimacy with their passenger? People make it seem like they kiss their significant others at every light and hold hands in between gear shifts.

It's not true. Photos make it look way worse, but when you actually sit in it, it's not bad at all.

I sat in it last month during a reveal and had no concerns with it.

I'm there...wifey is my usual companion and I would miss the hand on the leg. I do like the C8 (waitin on the Z) but the flying buttress of buttons is a design mistake in my book.

Kiss those days goodby in your new C8. These cars are built for couples who have been married forty years or more.

that's why you have a square steering wheel so you keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

This just doesn't even remotely make sense. Please look at post number six and explain how you would be sitting, that your arm and elbow would be anywhere near the buttons, much less keeping you from putting a hand on her leg. All I see where an elbow resides is a center console lid like always. I guess if you're 4' 3" tall and have the steering wheel against your nose it may be an issue.

Have you sat in a C8 yet? Try the passenger side if you get a chance to. I couldn't believe how GM designed it when I checked it out.
The lack of a center console basically kills the C8 interior. The passenger side is miserable. No arm rest and it encroached on your space. GM gets a /FAIL from many of us..

This has been observed hundreds of times, but it always worth pointing out that the C8's is one ugly interior. The "button bar" is a form of birth control.

There are some pretty funny answers! LOL!! As much amazing Attention that went into the design of this Car & again the Interior is a sore spot.. The Corvette Designers should go sit in a Ferrari.. They get it.. Sometimes Les is More..

I haven't seen one in a Dealership or on the road... I'd love to sit in one... The Picture Posted a few Posts up makes for a better view..

Thanks,

Lucky

I sat I the car, my wife sat in the passenger side. We both said. The so called wall. Isn’t as big as you think. And really doesn’t separate you.
