I think if I really liked the carbon fiber look, I would just buy some faux CF vinyl and do overlays for far less. IMO the reason for carbon fiber is for rigid, lightweight strength. The way it’s applied for the Corvette is largely for aesthetics. If you’re just going for looks, why pay that kind of money when you can do it for far less? There are several versions of CF vinyls that look very convincing now.

Yes, it would be worth it to me. The aftermarket stuff never fits properly and is a pain to install and never looks as good and installing a carbon fiber wrap over anything is just silly.

I would say any car with a starting price over $50k does this. It is not unique to the C8.

I think a gloss CF wrap will look identical to this, have the same look and same weight savings (zero).
