Default C8 spotting - Schaumburg, IL

My coworker was at Portillo's in Schaumburg on Friday afternoon. This C8 was in the parking lot:

A coworker of mine recently saw one of the camod cars driving around in Ohio - maybe one of the hybrids?

I work in Schaumburg and I passed by that Portillo's twice at lunchtime on Friday. My coworker didn't have my number, so I didn't find out about it until later in the afternoon. Oh well. I saw the C8 in person at Hawk Chevy in Joliet, but I was looking forward to seeing a different color and the carbon flash wheels in person. Maybe it is still around here somewhere.

Must have been there for the Mecum Auction Thursday through Saturday. I don't know because I didn't go. If I thought a C8 was there I would have!

I agree....it makes everything in the parking lot look outdated.

I passed by the Convention Center at the Renaissance Hotel today and I think you were right about the C8 being there for that event. There were still quite a few auction cars being loaded onto carriers, but the C8 was no where to be found. Probably on its way to the next event.

Thanks for the post. That Torch Red looks great in that partly cloudy lighting.

That was us, and yes I did have an Italian beef with hot peppers! Every time I go back to Chicago I stop at Portillos. We were at Mecum Friday and Saturday.

I worked and grew up in that area but am in Austin now. Can’t get a good Italian beef here. Lots of Mexican restaurants that taste all the same.

The C8 photo is really telling how it looks parked next to regular cars. Saw it and sat it Saturday in Grapevine Texas. Mine has a TPW of 1/27.

Right across the street is a chevy dealer. My salesman hinted they may be getting one early. He promised to call me SAP to see it when it and if it comes in like he said.

LOL. Most car salespeople will say anything that pops into their head. Remember: nothing a car salesperson says is legally enforceable in contract law. That’s reality. So, don’t bet on that.

As it was, it shall be... each generation has this happen. We all pine to catch a glimpse of the new one under camo and discuss renderings. Then in a few years there will be 20 of them sitting outside at the Chevy store getting rained on and covered in bird poop and pollen and the lot jockey will hit them with the power washer and the dirty rag

Do you work for GM? Or were you with the person driving the C8?
