Request for those attending a dealer showing
I have a specific request for anyone going to a dealer showing soon. Unfortunately, no dealers remotely close to me will be a part of the C8 tour. I would like to see a photo and/or measurements of the pedal box of both the driver and passenger side.
My concern is if the pedal box is uncomfortably small with that area being so close to the front wheel wells. I noticed this in a few rear/mid engine cars I drove: Ferrari 458, McLaren MP4-12C, and Lamborghini Huracan.
Thanks in advance.

well someone may go to one before I do and may get you the info first....but I already plan on taking a tape measure for something else.....the one I am going to is about a month away (Nov. 4th) but if no one has gotten you the info and I remember, I will try. I assume you want to width of the box....correct?

Safety Car
Many have sat in it, and have reported ample foot room, with nicely the pedals directly in front of the driver, properly aligned with the steering wheel do. Automedia has reported the same.
Someone even reported that he had plenty of foot room with his size 13 shoes. While I am only a size 11 shoe, I too found foot room plenty adequate (not feeling pinched nor confining).

Joe, Exactly. A photo or measurement of width.
Thanks Elegant. My concern is most people are spending 2 minutes in a parked car versus a full day on the track or cross country to see if the pedal box has any compromises. As mentioned before, this was immediately evident to me in other cars.

Check the “Why no manual thread...”. Several pictures with tape measure of a C8 drivers footwell. Based on those measurements people report C8 essentially same as C6/7.

GM designed this for fat footed americans, I think you'll be alright.

Not from what I remember. I drove a McLaren MP412-C a few years ago and the thing that really stood out in the interior was how close the pedals were to each other because of the lack of width. The C8 didn't have any issues IIRC. Felt like a pretty comfortable car to me - not nearly as exotic feeling as the McLaren - but definitely more comfortable / practical.

Didn’t have a tape, but here’s the driver side.
Taken at Hendricks Charleston SC on 10/11 in the orange Z-51 C8.
ooops photos are upside down.

C8 foot room
After 3 attempts to actually see a C8 was able to attend the Corvette event at Elco Chevrolet in Baldwin, Mo. Sat in it TWICE !! I am 6’ 2” have size 12 feet weigh 210. Despite seat being in fixed position (as well as steering wheel) I had no issues at all. Seat was not all the way back, and steering wheel was positioned rather low, but everything fit easily. LOTS of foot room.
