My costco has about 15 C8s. All orange but found 1 dark gray. Also has stripes.
They were all in the same Box except for the Gray one.

Red one has to be most popular i would think. Makes sense since they didn't have any but a ton of orange.

From what I've seen, the red one is the only one without stripes. Personally, I don't want them on my die cast model and maybe others don't either.

The stripes on the model don't bother me. Only way I would ever do it on my own car would be if I also put a number on the doors. To each their own. I have seen some corvettes with stripes over the gens i thought wow.. cool. I just couldn't do it for more than a month or too. Just too showy for me.

Hope everyone who wanted a diecast from Costco got one. I bought a red one back in October, but couldn't help but notice that the two stores near me sold out of ALL of their 1:18 diecast models weeks ago. I expected the C8s to go fast, but was surprised to see a clean wipeout of the various other makes and models also. Looks like unusually strong demand this year.

Yep the Costco in Sunnyvale Calif, had those diecast but they sold out with in a week, they had C8's but I already had those color for sale, I was looking for orange, yellow or blue since I already have dark gray and red. There was a guy there also going thur all the Porsche models and I think he said he was also looking for Nissan Nismo models.

My thread was resurrected from the dead!
I agree, they have been gone for weeks. I did pick up 4 of the red ones and with the exception of the wheels, are the exact same car I am having built next month.
Have no fear, they will show up every year at Costco until they come out with the Z-51 and then switch over.

The entire display was gone at my Sam's Club earlier this week... I got my yellow coupe when they first hit the stores but I'm waiting for the HTC...

Those who are not interested in the models can back out now.....
For those of us who like to collect them I have a little bit of Negative news.
I was in Costco over the weekend and they already have their Christmas toys out on the floor. I usually get pumped for this as they always have pallets of fresh 1:18 Diecast car models and at great prices.
They had just put the inventory out so I went through the entire stack and no C8's. Not surprising since it was just revealed in July and that would have been a super-human effort to get the model designed, built, and distributed in time for this holiday season.
I try to buy the 1:18 models of every car I have owned. Some are much more expensive then others, but the Corvettes are usually made in huge numbers and can be found at good prices.
Trying to get a perfect match for my current BMW M4 has bee next to impossible.

Modified C8 of the Year 2021 Winner
Same thing in my area (SoCal) - no more 1/18 models at my Costco at all. On a bright note, the orange 1/24 scale C8 from motormax is the exact configuration (externally) I ordered my C8 in, so I bought two off Amazon.

MUCH more that $10 over MSRP on ebay! When these models first hit Sam's and Costco, they were selling for as much as $150 on ebay!
I have to admit, I did buy one on ebay for $40. I was afraid I would not get a red one. Since then I have bought 3 more at Costco (gave one to each of my sons and kept one fresh in the box)
