Who will do first full test?
It’s puzzled that no “outsider” has driven the car and lived to tell about it..ha.. so who will be the first to issue a full report? What are opinions from meh (1) to over the moon (10) on what it will conclude? Curious minds want to know.

I think the first full will be car and driver. Maybe motor trend...road and track has gone off the rails. Automobile magazine is pretty much an artistic endeavor with driving reviews , great photography but usually uses manufacturers test data.
so its pretty much a coin toss between car and driver and motor trend...
id suggest motor trends car of the year will be the c8 and c &d lightning lap champion surprise should be the c8.

I mean the masses (50% maybe even less of the current owners of corvettes from what i see, hear, and read) are all onboard with the mid engine car.
Chevy dosen't need to convince them this is the right move, in the right direction, for this longstanding american iconic sportscar... it needs to convince the other people who actually buy corvettes to want to buy this one..
The first year. Heck maybe even 2... the C8 could be sold out before all is said and done.. but that has NEVER been a problem for a new generation of a corvette.... it's beyond that. And once you run out of "new" owners? And this corvette owners that buy new gens no matter the reason just to experience it etc? Who's left? That's where it gets a little muddy. And then the units stop flying off the lot and those impulse buys start turning back up at the chevy dealers all over.... guess we're gonna find out soon enough.

Based on everything I've seen/heard, I figure in October we'll have a good supply of articles and videos to consume.
I'd expect they will all come out about the same time.
In typical journalist fashion they will be 99% puff pieces. At least in the initial reviews.

A bunch of articles will hit the day the embargo is lifted from all kinds of auto journo sources -- will be tons of glowing reviews to read....then in 6-12 months they'll say what they really think of the car, after the huge launch dollar marketing spends have subsided for their business entity.

IMO they will have a specific deadline date that all the major magazines release it at the same time whether Online or publication.
MotorTrend, Car and Driver, Automobile, and the major online magazines. I don't believe there will be a "first" but actually many who will be first.

He'll get a car from a viewer I'm sure.
I know Doug is 50/50 for who like his stuff, but no doubt I am waiting for his review of the quirks and features.
I'll also watch Matt Farah, SavageGeese, and maybe Shmee if I can take it for more than 2 minutes.

All the First Drives will come out about the same time.
Then all the First Tests will come out about the same time.
I don't think it gets interesting until the comparison tests start to happen.

Be cool if Car and Driver delayed their annual Lightning Lap test til a car was ready. Pretty close, as they usually do it in September.

Definitely not Matt, but I do love the ... "Ok, lets turn down this back road... and see how it goes.... let's go!" * O Face Giggle giggle*
