C8 at NCM for weekend

Safety Car
I'm paying over 80000 plus tax for my car.... Not going to pay 70 bucks just to have my *** sit in one. I was going to go Friday until I found that out.

I was at the 25th Anniversary Celebration and Corvette Caravan at the Museum today and attach the following pictures. I wanted to thank the Museum staff, Chevy contractors and employees, and many volunteers at the Museum who are helping with this production. I can only imagine how much work this must be. Weather was perfect, too, by the way and should be all week. My wife enjoyed it as well, and she is not a car nut like I am.
Also, if you have not seen the various sinkhole exhibits at the museum, I commend them to you. Very interesting.
And darn those new LT2 headers are beautiful (and the seams on the red car's console line up perfectly--see pic).
If any C8 company drivers see this post and want to take me for a ride in your C8 pre-production car, shoot me a PM! I'll buy you a Snickers!
Regards, Bill

We are not charging to "sit in the cars". However, you have to be registered for the event to visit the 2020 Stingray display (the building GM brought) as well as to sit in on seminars. General museum visitors or people who show up do not get access to the display without having event credentials.
At Carlisle, you had to be registered and paid for the event to see the same display. At dealerships, they want to bring you in for free to get you to place an order for the car.

Thursday morning people are sitting in at least the black car. For what it's worth, I see people without registration badges looking at the cars and entering the GM C8 display building.

The car is visiting the museum. People pay to get into the museum. Therefore, there should not be a charge to sit in the car. GM makes the car. The museum needs GM to keep making the car to support the museum. It only makes sense that it should be simple and inviting to get to know the car without having to pay an extra fee.
As was stated: if you wanted to get into the Carlisle show, you paid money. No money, no entry. Once you were in the Carlisle fairgrounds, you had open access to the GM cars. Why should the NCM's event be any different?

Sorry if this has been answered, but does the Competition Seat change from textile fabric to suede in the 3LT trim?
I want the competition seat, but not at the expense of having rough fabric covering on it.
Anyone can shed light?
