The only 1/4 mile times that matter are the ones I generate.

I find that the times listed in the magazines are usually slower than what I can get.

Some by quite a bit.

AFA the 11.3 listed time, we shall see.

Very glad to read your post as it is so very true. Car magazine tests can be spot on or way off the mark especially with the 1/4 mile ET metric as they launch off idle. It is very easy to beat magazine testers metrics but don't tell that to some of the guys who use R/T, C&D, etc. as their bible. I recently posted my 10.92 with a stock '16 Z06 and was called every name in the book including a "liar", absolutely hilarious as amateurs get 10s with C7 I am no professional but have at least 400 !/4 mile passes in the last 30 years and have beat every magazine # for every car I have ever owned with the exception of my '02 Corvette.

Will someone next March get a 10.98 in 45 degree weather at ATCO with a C8 Stingray? Quite possibly and that will be whether the guys who memorize car magazine gospel statistics believe it or not.

100% that'll be the same night a Z06 runs 10.30 at 134 and a ZR1 9.99 at 142....

those 1/4mile times are usually not at the track which is stickier.... 11.3 is incredible for a car at this price.... can't wait! ....

Wow, a stock C7 Z06 has gone 10.3? My 10.92 was in really good air.

So anything better than what Motorweek posts is a " hero run"? LOL!
