The 14 C8 Corvettes at Corvettes at Carlisle - Configurations & Pics Links and More
There were a total of 14 2020 Corvette Stingrays at Corvettes at Carlisle 2019! Thank you, GM, for bringing such a varied assortment of colors and configurations for us to review! As of yesterday, I have personally seen 9 of the 12 2020 colors on the various show/experimental cars and look forward to seeing at least two more next week at the NCM's 25th Anniversary Celebration. This post includes a link to the configuration posts that I started for 12 of the 14. Each post provides various build information and photos of the exterior and interior of each car. (The two C8s that I did not post specific threads on were the Torch Red and Ceramic Matrix Gray that were part of the traveling Corvette building display.)
Additionally, I have provided links to the accessory information threads that I started for easy reference, as well as links to two of the Corvette Team presentations during the event. I hope these threads provide you with even more tools to help you configure your first Corvette Mid Engine in the most desirable way possible for your tastes and needs. Enjoy!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to collate all this information and carefully documented! For people that are not able to make it to one of the reveal events, this information will be super super helpful in their quest for their new Vette.
Tadge and team should buy you a beer. Heck, all of the Corvette forum should buy you a lifetime supply of beer!

Hi guys,
Thought you might like to see these, unfortunately just phone pics, I didn't bring a camera, would have been much better with a DSLR.
I personally wasn't a fan of the C7, for me too busy with too much surface noise and too many angles and scoops, the C8 is a more mature design and is less busy, especially when you see it in person, except for the back that is, not sure what happened there, like an origami exercise gone terribly wrong.
Although the C7 never did grow on me, at this point I wouldn't say never for this one...
Paul
PS: The Zeus one looks more olive than it does brown when you see it in person, she told me that she spec'd the yellow calipers to tie in with the yellow stitching she had used in the interior as seen in the other pics.
PSS: I also never thought I'd live to see the day that Chevy would offer '70 Mustang Grabber Blue on a Corvette?

Fawnduece, thanks for the pics! Some cameras don't like red cars, and even more so don't like Rapid Blue. A lot of people think Rapid Blue is darker than it really is because of this. Do you agree?

Thank you for the pictures!
Still need to see the car in person, but really loving what I see.
The one thing I am struggling with is the fact that I REALLY like the car without a spoiler. I won't order one without the Z51 package, but would love the ability to delete the rear spoiler. I understand the reasoning for no "non-delete" option, just wish there was one.

Thanks for the thanks!
Man you put in a lot of work on this!!! I had never been on the C8 portion of the forum prior to this, good for you, they should give you a free one for all of your work!
Yes you are right about cameras and colors, the blue is probably not as dark as in the photo, but that blue is a very highly saturated color.
Some general thoughts from me for what they are worth:
The first thing that I noticed on first view of the first C8 that I saw in person, is how short the nose is, the perception is a massive difference compared to the C7, and how steep the windshield angle is, it is truly striking.
If I had an "O WOW" moment, it was when I turned the corner and first saw the bright red one in the sun out in the wild of the parking lot, it truly did have presence, especially with the tan interior, of course the classic Ferrari combo.
I am not a fan of black wheels, black wheels become invisible and wheels are a critical focal point on a car, I find this especially true on the C8. IMHO, on the C8 the black wheels tend to make the wheel and tire look too small for the car, also exacerbates the already large tire to body gap, not sure why the gap is so large compared to say a BMW or Porsche, maybe partially perception of the gap do to body design?
I also far prefer the car without that rear spoiler, it definitely looks like an afterthought and spoils the line (pun intended), especially in profile and rear 3/4 view. IMHO it also only makes that overly busy posterior look even worse. Hopefully they'll offer spoiler delete on the cars optioned with Z51 suspension, but most who pay for Z51 apparently want bragging rights, I've even see guys put Z51 stickers on their cars like it was a separate model or something, go figure...
Paul
PS: I own a mid engine car, way better in a sports car but has to be learned, 495 HP and all of that torque in the C8, a bunch of old white guys are going to end up in the ditch for sure while showing off to their Elk's Lodge brethren

White or ceramic grey... in person, to me, at noon with the high sun, it had a hint of gray. Zero metallic and creamy looking. Call it a high-polish ceramic white is my best in-person description.

My question was not which is preferable or what its qualities are, but which is shown in the captioned photographs from Range96. Its often very hard to tell in pics which we're looking at.
