My only hesitation - will there be one on ever corner?

The C8 offers so much at such an affordable price, there's likely to be one on every corner,
and that makes it boring after awhile.
Anybody else concerned about that?

Not even at 50,000 units sold. Do the math.
Still be more out there than Ferraris, but for starting at 60K what level of exclusivity do you expect?

How does that compare to previous new Corvette launches?
My point being, the price point of this car might be it's downfall. Although I'm not complaining...

Enjoy the car. Just dont show up at your local cars and coffee chest thumping lol.
Just like C7s when new after few months they were everywhere 40k sold. This one could be 50k.
The Z06 just like the last one will be cool andblinited until they bring out the poser GS version then it'll be similar. When I say poser I jest. When a GS is 500ft away until I see the hood or taillights they get me everytime..

So with 272 million registered cars on the road in the US, if GM makes 50k C8s, they will make up .018% of the cars on the road. Not exactly one on every corner or in every driveway. If you go to a spot with cars show up you'll see a few, but other than that you'll probably go days between seeing one, of course depending on where you live.

I wouldn't mind at all. At $60k, $70k well equipped, the C8 is literally the same price as a new pickup truck. Everyone that wants one is going to be able to get one. The C8 is the first true "people's" supercar. Democracy at its best. A company selling a great product at a super low price because of stiff competition. That can only be a good thing. We all benefit.

One thing that skews your perspective is on here, we are all car enthusiasts and so it seems like everyone is getting one. Most people drive SUVs and pickup trucks and sedans, they have kids going to soccer games, etc, etc. It's one of the reasons the demographics for the car tend to be 50 plus because those folks have most of that behind them. My wife and I are empty nest (we literally high fived when our last walked out the door) and so this is a celebration of sorts for us. Plus, millions of people treat cars as appliances, it's better than walking but that's about it to them.

I always get a kick out of this exclusivity nonsense. It's a car...an affordable supercar...it will be no different than the C7, C6, or any Vette prior. The snobs will steer clear and the real enthusiasts will finally have a proper ME sports car for a price that doesn't exclude anyone who can make the stretch for one. I live in Silicon Valley and the number of Teslas running around would blow anyone's mind once you realize how expensive these appliances are. Sports cars are naturally a rare sight due to the practicality of them. I look forward to using my C8 for my commute as the only time I see anything remotely sporty is the occasions where I see a guy who commutes in his green 911 GT3 RS, I applaud than man.

Price went up $3k, and did you have same concern for c7? C5? C6? Even at the price, it is still a limited market for a 2 seat sport car.
So how many c7s do you see? Too many to make you happy? The c8 may sell a little more than previous generations, but it isn't going to double vette sales from previous generations.

I was on some Ferrari and GT40 forums after the reveal and this "exclusivity" argument came up often. GM could have announced this thing starting at $90 or 100K and most would have shrugged and said, "well that's what mid-engine sport cost". Yet since they didn't somehow that was viewed as a negative.

I understand your reservation ....Porsche pretty much as been making the same turtle shaped car since the early 1960s...
they are all over the place....talk about being on every corner...very few non enthusiasts can tell the dofferences through the years...yet porsche enthusiasts love their 911s...and rightly so...
its an iconic sports car...
lambos always look like lambos...ferraris and mclarens tend to be mistaken for each other by non enthusiastsusually stating ferrari..
i would think the mew c8 will for the forst few years be mistaken fir ferraris by non enthusiasts...
i believe production for bowling green will be 40k units first year..while the second year could go as high as 50k...
by 2022 i exoect the second shift workers will be reassigned to the production of the 22 full Evs that GM plams to launch that year.
bowling green will curtail production back down to 30k units including the much higher proced , much higher margin c8 z06 with a possibility of a small annual run of cadillac ultra expensive ultra luxury sports cars . Id imagine a run under 1000 units.
i dont know wjere you in particular live but here in the northeast 20 miles north of manhattan...its more porsche 911 by the dozen, bmws, mercedes etc...i see more mercedes amg gts then I see corvettes .
the image has always in the past foreign is always better even if its not true...thats what the locals buy or have bought...
the c8 will be an excellent seller but 40k units among 50 states will be a rare site...
year two an extra 50k units will still be a rare site...
year three at 30k units rare still...
lets add in one more glaring factor....most save their corvettes for weekend duty..
i domt...i daily my corvettes and will do so with my 2020 c8 z51 fe4 in torch red...
any of you guys see me...flag me down ....well shoot the ****...
i drive 12k a hear in my corvette...most drive 2 or 3k a year...
it will still ne a rare sight...
