Yeah, apply it right in the middle of the windshield.

No reflective coating. Nor does it have the the buried engraving as does our new currency.

with all the ever advancing technology, it is my opinion that the "front plate" as currently constituted
is obsolete. a small scan code in the front should suffice to make everybody happy.

Front plates are BS.
1. How do the 19 states that don't require a plate get by? Just fine it would appear
2. No one has ever been pulled over head on.
3. Even the state knows the front plate is worthless as the registration sticker goes on the rear plate.
4. Instead of raising my taxes, eliminate the front plate and save 50% on the materials to make millions of plates.

I'm pretty sure that the "issuing tickets for no front plate" is a mostly downstate thing. I'm in WNY and I've been running my 2012 Grand Sport Convertible with no plate since the day I bought it (and it's a daily driver from May to November). The closest I ever got to a "no front plate" ticket was 6 yrs ago when I drove through a checkpoint and the officer said to me "get a front plate" to me as I passed through. I thought...."yeah....I'll get right on that". No front plate actually saved me from paying a toll fine this year. I drive over Grand Island (near Buffalo/Niagara Falls), where they removed all the toll booths and replaced them with sensors and cameras. This year I drove through at least twice before I remembered to transfer my EZ-Pass from my truck to my Vette. But they can't write you a ticket if their cameras don't see a front plate on your car. Hell, I could probably drive through there every day without the EZ-Pass and never pay a toll, but that's just asking for trouble.

Live in Guelph Ontario and never got a ticket for no front plate yet. Been a few years but now that I write this in sure I'll get one...

This day and age, plates are archaic
Front plates especially so
TX is 2-plate law but front plate can be anything - school colors, Bugs Bunny, whatever . I have a Back the Blue plate on the van and no plate on 2 cars. Been pulled over 2x, fined once, I just paid it and consider it a tax.
No biggie, it does not go on the driving record, just a fine.

For those in states that do strictly enforce the front plate, I see some good news here for people who haven't been fond of the front snaggle tooth mouth design of the C8. The front plate insert amounts to a snaggle tooth extraction. It may be more attractive with front plate than the naked mouth.

Everyone here seems to want this to be a front plate vs no front plate debate. No. You should all be shaming the OP for this absurd post
