Door winglet
Just curious, am I the only one that doesn't like the looks of the winglet that is integrated into the rear of the door? It looks hideous to me when the door is open.

It has been my biggest reservation on the car, but more about people opening it and hitting something. I am reserving judgement until I see it in person.

As far as looks go, the door is closed 99% of the time...and I think it looks great when the door is closed.

Yea, that also looks like it is going to be an issue. I can easily see it smacking the car parked next to you when you open the door.

You mean Corvettes are allowed to be parked next to other cars?! I always see them at the far end of the parking lot by themselves, or alternatively, in handicap spaces. No risk of bashing that winglet into the quarter panel of a minivan in those cases.

The camaro doors on both the 5th and 6th gens I owned opened almost perpendicular to the car, so I never parked anywhere close to anyone. When my wife took the cars, I always worried. lol

I am a little concerned that it extends so far it make ingress and egress more difficult when parking next to a car or in my tight two car garage. Hopefully, the door sill is inboard enough that it makes up for it. Definitely want to see this on the dealer tour of the car.

Meh, it doesn’t bother me. The doors are shut most of the time anyway.

Hideous One of the most, if not the most, overused words on car forums. Does not matter the make or model, if some one does not care for a particular feature its "Hideous". Tell us how you really feel.

How many will get broken off the door?
Corvettes are made to DRIVE, don't expect to earn money just for "owning" a C8 for a while. Buy a C8 to get out there and drive the roads of this great country of ours. Go to the other coast and see what we have in this great country and do it with a smile and a C8. That is why Corvettes were created and the C8 should be the best of the best to do it in!
We live in the greatest country in the World and we are allowed to own cars like our Corvettes, We are the lucky few.
But be sure to buy your new C8 and drive it like you stole it! This will help GM and your fellow C8'ers get rid of any "issues" really quickly with this revolutionary model that Zora "dreamed" of for so many years!
I am still having way too much fun with my revolutionary 1968 C3.
I will wave to fellow Corvette drivers however!!
Best regards,
Chris

They’re aiming the convertible (with automatic window roll down on key fob) at the “the winglet will break, better go Dukes of Hazard entry” crowd. Marketing GENIUUUS!!!! “You asked, we answered”. LOL

The first battle scar is going to suck, regardless of what part of the car it occurs on. Doesn’t matter what car or truck it is. Pay attention to opening your door. Be willing to walk the additional 50 ft that might be needed to get a better parking place. You can’t stop some A-Hole from parking next to you even though you try. If you really can’t stand what may happen don’t buy the car.
