Military discount?
With a number of dealers in a 150-mile radius of me talking about dealer mark-ups of $5k, I'm almost afraid to ask......
Will GM be offering Military Discounts on the C8, and have any dealers stated they will honor it?
(Again, I think I know the answer--but the cheaper part of me compels to ask......)

Being retired Navy and having ordered a C7 in the first allocation, I can tell you the answer is as you expected.
No.
The GM discount website currently does not show the 2020 as being eligible. It took a while before they made the C7 eligible after it's introduction, I think around a year.
Having said that it doesn't hurt to check the website when you get closer to delivery, it currently shows what is eligible up to January and I'm sure it changes all the time.

First year? No way, Jose’. Second year? Maybe depending on sales. I bought my 2015 using the discount, 2017 too.

The Military Auto Source guy here in Afghanistan said that they expect to have the C8 available through their program in a few months. So if you have the opportunity to find yourself out this way you can get on the list at a below-MSRP price. Of course, you can also get blown up, but hey, look at the savings if you don't!

Actually this is a good question, Ken. If GM doesn't offer one, then maybe USAA does through their new car buyer program. It might be worth a phone call to find out.

A forum dealer will usually be less money without the military discount. At least they were with the last 3 Corvettes I purchased from McMulkin

He said their policy is to sell at "market pricing", which is purposely vague.
