Much ado about absolutely nothing except preconceived dislike.
Move on.
Absolutely not confirmed, merely speculated with energy. Huge difference.

IMHO all gm c8 corvettes will have turbulent headers . There’s no business, Techincal, or logical reason in 2019 to offer old school cast iron stainless steel headers.
‘Tubular headers are simple to design and manufacture and lightweight. Robotic welding , hydroforming and manufacturing headers on the tier 1 level is simple and cost effective.
‘Those stainless steel heat shields are covering short mid-length tubular headers .
‘The extra 5hp power has the be from the rear valvetronic exhaust that has a bypass to reduced back pressure.
its that simple . Ferrari and others have used investment cast stainless steel headers on the 488 and inconel headers on the 488 pista and F8 tributo

In an article from Engine Labs (https://www.enginelabs.com/engine-te...but-different/) is the following comment:
The optional Z51 performance package delivers (among other desirable items) the four-into-one stainless steel equal length headers that no C8 should be ordered without. The standard iron manifolds will be of the 4-2-1 arrangement.

This photo shows inner shields also (red arrows), and of course the mounting tabs (orange arrows) for the outside head shield. Unfortunately, I think with all the heat shields in place you won't be able to see much of those nice looking tubular headers.

Pretty sure all LT2’s will have the same headers. Doesn’t make much sense otherwise.

Geez people, just read the specs in the ordering guide. It says aluminum exhaust on all models, not just the Z51.

AND? Base car does 0/60 in 3.4. Z51 does 0/60 in 2.8. BFD for the non professional street driver of the car (99.3% of purchasers).
I currently drive a Z51 optioned C6 and I appreciate the braking package, cooling system upgrades, power steering cooler, upgraded suspension, etc. I don’t track the car and I don’t need the upgrades but I appreciate them.
Your posts about the 2020 Corvette seem generally to indicate you are not happy with anything about it. I hope you can find something in life to make you happy. It’s apparent the C8 isn’t doing it. Maybe a change of name recognition is in order.

.6 to 60 MPH difference is huge, I do not think the base car will be that slow (3.4 ) to 60 and do not think the Z51 will be that quick 2.8 to 60. Its been reported under 3 sec to 60 or 2.9 realistically imo, and maybe 3.1 or 3.2 to 60 on the base car imo
Well, I just saw a Z51 car up close and personal and could not really tell the car had tubular headers , way to much heat shielding to see anything. And I had my head under the hood big time.
