Not feeling the blue but I love the look. Reminds me a bit of a stretched Lotus. Not a bad thing. Definitely looking forward to the "GS" version of the C8...hopefully with a more powerful version of the LT2...maybe LT2.5.

Much better angle to compare... design is subjective but in my view, the C8 makes the C7 look a bit dated. Absolutely a great looking car but now very much last gen. Nothing wrong with that and something for those who can't get their head around a ME car can own and enjoy.
Overall, they are both beautiful cars and they will legitimately each have their own fans. There are angles of the C7 that looks more dated but it is expected as ME cars usually look more flashy. For example, the 812 SF looks great to me but some people will think it doesn't look flashy enough to be a Ferrari like a 488. The C8 looks fresher and sleeker, but every time I see that scoop in a profile angle like this pic with the white C7, it really looks awkward like it was just added on after the fact. Neither is perfect.

I’m not sold on the looks of the C8 and seeing them side by the C8 doesn’t look that good to me. The C8 is in a odd color and the C7 is in a great C7 color. I’ll see it this Thursday in person.

Good idea, but try to use real life pics for both. A lot of the C8 pics floating around are the photoshop enhanced pics like these red GM marketing pics or the visualizer pics that gives you a render but loses a lot of the real life details.
I feel the exact opposite. Seeing those pictures makes me realize again how great the C7 looks. Maybe it is just the angles of the pictures though combined with the colors. I really need to see them side by side in real life but to me the C7 in that picture makes the C8 look plain.Not sure what you are seeing. They are very different in my eyes. I do not mind the rear end of the C8 though. A little busy but not too bad. I think the C8 standard spoiler is pretty bad though. I like the high wing spoiler on it much better. Makes it look much more aggressive.The C7 was a pretty big deal in 2013. It was what made me a Corvette guy actually.
The C8 is already 2" wider than the C7. Any wider and it wont play nice with its garage mate. Besides, the rear end is quite wide enough.. How youd integrate rear fender flares into that rear scoop design without looking cartoonish is beyond me, but Im no designer...
2" wider than the base C7, but .....1.5" narrower than the C7 GS/Z06/ZRI and also 4" narrower than the Aventador, 5" narrower than a Pagani Zonda or Murcialago and 7" narrower than a Maserati MC-12....There's room to grow the C8 Z06.

I’m not taking a position between the two cars shown in the OP’s first photos in this thread. Largely because one always has a nearness and perspective advantage and it also has has a stronger color. The C7 has that advantage I think until that last different picture of the other teal and black C8 shows up. To me that blows away the C7 conceptually, but it’s not fair either because they still aren’t side by side as they should be and they don’t have comparable colors, either strong or dramatic.
The first C8 photo reminds me of this Gran Torino. I am a C8 fan and actually owned a Gran Torino before. I have owned C3, C5, and C7. Everything is subjective, and to me the most attractive was the C3. All of that said, I prefer the C8 over the C7 in appearance. I will get mine with the high wing spoiler in the second model year.
