C7 is a better looking car, no doubt.

It had manufacturer plates on it. They are months from the start of production yet.

The car was being driven around under camouflage for over a year. Now that it has been revealed, it can be driven out in the open by test engineers. They do this with all test cars.

I think this understated combination really compliments the C8 design

My C7 Vert has been my favorite Vette I've owned as IMHO, it is the epitome of the evolution of the C3 design vocabulary - owned it for almost 4 years and people still often pull up and give a thumbs up - never really happened that much with my C5.
Seeing it next to the C8 confirms to me that the Corvette team has done an incredible job evolving the C7 DNA into a mid engine design.
I dig all aspects of what I have seen of the C8 so far. Cannot wait to see one in person here in Houston.
No question the C8 Vert will be my next Vette.

Me too, kind of. Always liked the C6 but when I saw a red C7 in person for the first time on the freeway, I knew I would buy a C7 at some point. Styling is a relative thing and everyone has a different opinion. I'm not sure why some people insist that it's impossible that some just truly prefers the C7 more. The C7 just flat-out looks meaner and more aggressive in these pics. But the C8 looks sleeker and sportier in the other pics I've seen. I own a C7 and also like the C8 enough to want to buy one in a few years. But there are some odd lines and angles on the C8 that I'll admit to. But as an overall package of styling, performance and price, it's unbeatable and that's why I would buy one.

The GS & Z06 C7 models are actually about an inch wider still compared to the C8. Part of what looks odd to my on the C8 Stingray is the side scoops looking like they were just added on and it's poorly integrated. Certain colors hides it better. Look at how the side scoops on the F8 Tributo or the Aventador is just smoothly integrated to the body and you'll know what I mean. I think if the rear quarter panels are 1 to 1.5 inch wider, it will allow for a smoother integration of the scoops. Can't wait to see how the C8R and the Z06 will look.

That C7 is beautiful and looks like a GT car

I'm hoping that a C8 is in my future. With that said, seeing the two side-by-side won't create any regrets on my part if I need to hold off for a few years.

Much better angle to compare... design is subjective but in my view, the C8 makes the C7 look nice but last generation. Absolutely a great looking car. Nothing wrong with that and something for those who can't get their head around a ME car can own and enjoy.

At a Corvette there was a C6 GS and C7 Sting Ray parked next to each other. I spend 25 minutes looked at each and comparing them to see which one I liked better. There things about the C7 I liked, and things about the C6 I liked. But when it came time to pick which one I liked the best, it was the C6. I think the C6 has a style that won't look dated five years later. The C7 wouldn't look like something I was glad to keep down the road. The C8 looks far better than the C6 & C7. Although it looks more like an Italian sports car than an American sports car. It has the same look as the McLaren and Lamborghini's latest model. They are all long and sleek with big scoops on the sides. But it is cool you can get that same cool look for a fraction of the price.

I feel badly that you have nothing more interesting in life to do than bash the C8... we know, you don't like it... we also know you will continue to tell people that until you find another hobbie

Why does the C8 Look so much smaller next to the C7? It almost looks like the C7 was Photoshop into the picture?

That picture is just another reason I am proud and honored to be an owner of a C7 Stingray.
