Doesn't look like Porsche is too concerned...

I would say your comment is a pretty good summation of where you are in life. A man on a Camaro budget with the C8 being their aspiration car! Can’t fault that though......appears it should be a very nice car! I hope you and Punky can make your dreams come true.

Nope; just someone with at least a 7th grade education that has managed to capture the English language. How's the drive thru at this time of day? Gotta gear up for the dinner rush. Remember, it is spelled small "fries" not "frys".

Maybe you need to reread my post, I was asking about base stingray sales figures, not Porsche production numbers.
Also these are global production numbers, not US sales like the number I was quoting. And for some reason you have the 911 in there now, where as you were only talking about the boxster/cayman before.
FWIW in the US the Corvette outsells the boxster, cayman and 911 combined.

Was looking at JoseC5's Porsche numbers. Yes they sell way more cars than Corvette does, thats always be known, but the really interesting thing is the constant growth from 54,000 in 2014 to 2018 in 60,323, Considering what is happening to sports cars & sedans over the same period that is a pretty amazing accomplishment.
And as these are global numbers and not US sales numbers that doesn't mean much for the "sports cars trending down in the US" stat, that may not be the case when speaking globally. The 911 sales in the US has been trending down from 2014-2017 and then rose a touch in 2018. From 2013 onward the boxster has been selling less and less in the US, and the Cayman has been steady from 2013 onward. All selling significantly less than the Corvette in the US though.

[QUOTE=Dsom2LT;1599873035]Porsche is strictly a performance car. It’s a brand lkke sneakers or handbags. The cars are nose to @ss ugly and always will be. People buy a Porsche to say they have one. Vette owners have a pride, a connection, a love for these beasts that others don’t. Few people can even name which Porsche they are even looking at: 911, 919, 411, Carreras, Boxster, whatever. Tired of the comparison to Porsche; each car is any ugly girl with either implants, too much makeup, or a huge rear end. Give me power, style, and a car that is synonymous with my country, my grit, my resolve and my loyalty.
"Strictly a performance car". Ok, and you have a problem with that? I think every Porsche owner can tell you what model they have. Most even know how to drive them. Unlike the over 50 crowd that gets in everyone's way in their fiberglass toy going to the grocery store.

Here is US numbers:
2018- 8,042
2017- 6,731
2016- 4,403
2015- 4,985
2014- 5,740
2013- 5,421
2012- 7,614
The middle east, China, and Africa contribute to more Porsche sales than anywhere else. These places are not necessarily facing the same changes the US market is, apples to oranges.

Their performance in this (and other) thread(s) makes me strongly doubt either is as prosperous as they claim, unless they inherited their money or won it in the lottery.
No self-made person I ever met would spend countless hours on childish peeing matches like this!

For all those comparing the two. They are not comparable. Porsche owners will buy C8's for daily drivers. For those who don't get it. It's like the old Harley Davidson saying says. If you even have to ask you won't understand. There is a reason why Porsche is the winning est marque in racing history. Yes, if the C8 performs as advertised and survives major problems and recalls it will probably do well.

Be sure to use Porsche brand starch on your underpants. Target brand starch may be just as good, or better, but imagine how your dignity would suffer if anyone found out!

OMG, just read this one. You are at your 2nd home chilling on your "$650,000 Cruiser". Do you have some fixation with the $650,000 figure? You are the best my Man!

$650,000/yr is the income that you have previously blown your horn about here which is very weird but obviously well within the scope of your ignorance. Enjoy that Big Mac, YUK.
