Fake "Rear Window"
I get why they designed it this way, to give the impression of an elliptical side window, but I hate fakery in auto design. I'd have preferred the little, triangular "rear window" to be a functional scoop than a design element to trick the eye. That being said, I love the car's design and will forgive this fakery. What do you think?

I was surprised they couldn’t have created a gap and made it functional.

I'm with you ! I mean I would have never noticed something like that not in a million years !
Next we will get someone complaining about the side mirrors being .2 mm wider at the bottom that doesn't Match the rear spoiler that's .3mm off to the left.

You wouldn’t have noticed “in a million years” that your quarter glass window was not actually a window?

I think once we sit inside the car we might understand better but I can see some people might be concerned as it could have been glass so better visibility when shoulder checking for blind spots but I think that's what blind spot monitoring is for !

It looks like that area could be used for a scoop for the C8Z.

For some reason this is one of the things that bothers me about the car. The C7 has a small window there, which i know it's a totally different car and different design, but i do look out those windows when changing lanes. And yes, all of my mirrors are adjusted properly, but it's nice to have the extra view for blind spots.
So it's not possible on the C8, fine, i do wonder why they chose to put a fake side window there instead of something else....not bashing the design by any means it just seems odd to me. I'm sure i will like it when i see it in person.

Draw a line straight down about the middle of the door. From that point forward, I find very little wrong with the car. From that point back, it's tough to find anything nice to say about it. It almost looks like there's a nice, complete car hiding in the back under a bunch of stick on camouflage. Too much hope from all the talk of the camo'd versions having fake add-ons I guess.
