About a week before my LBR was built, was told the high wing I had ordered would not be included. It was still on the order sheet a few weeks prior. Since there were few LBR C8's pics shown AND in addition to that 1st pic and some others with a black wing I thought it would be black! In addition I had been looking at the pic on my computer screen from the 2020 Build-A-C8 website with a black high wing, thought oh well I just buy the high wing from C7 Carbon where i had already placed my splitter/side skirt order.

Then when the car arrived at the dealer was surprised it had a LBR painted wing. Like it and so does the wife (who doesn't care for the high wing.) Like many, I was influenced to order by that 1st actual pic of the rear of the C8, leaked by a GM worker. Poor pic and probably made the GM Marketing folks "cringe!" Not the cars best view but made worse by that pic!

Now very happy with the standard Z51 wing in body color! Won't consider getting the high wing!

Had here for about 4 months now! Love it! Especially with the natural dipped interior!

If you look at all of these pictures, you will note how different they look under different light..

I was really reluctant to get this color, but the only thing I can say is pictures don't do it justice. I have yet to produce a picture from my phone that remotely describes the actual color.

I have taken them at different angles different light, then look at the picture then the car, they are not close. So I have given up as I love color and have been told from many it's most beautiful car they have ever seen. It does have the high Wing, which I think is a must when sitting next to the Z51 wing.

Just wondering if others have noticed this. Perhaps it's the tintcoat?

Yep, my 2014 C7 Crystal Red Metallic Tincoat was similar. The amount and sun direction make a big different. No doubt Tintcoat and the size and amount of metallic aluminum flake particles make a difference!

The C7 isn't more rounded.... it's actually sharper. The body lines are more creased. The C8 has slightly softer lines.

Hmm, if you say so! Side and front sure look more angled to me! That is what is reflecting the sun more at the different angles, IMO!

My car with the two wheel options. The lighter ones are nice, but I put all season 4 tires on the black tridents.

I like the Trident machined faced aluminum!

Also responded because I loved my 1st new car, a '67 Corvair with every HD option GM offered that year including quick steering, HD suspension, metallic brakes etc. Looked and handled better with the Plus 1, 14 wheels and performance tires I added!

Obviously there is no right or wrong to this...It's all in the eye of the beholder. I ordered a high wing with my 1lt LBR but was originally disappointed that the high wing was cancelled. It looks great with or without but I have decided to keep it wing-less as I like the SMOOTH lines of the car without the wing. Personally, I am glad I opted for the black interior as some of these pictures of either yellow or tan interiors clash with LBR. I am not aware of too many people who would say those colors do not clash...But, as I said at the beginning...There is no right or wrong to this.

Default Saw LBR in Daytona last week

Saw the C8 LBR in Daytona Beach last week on a sunny day and it was STUNNING!! I am very sad over that decision. IMO, RMT has orange undertones. Maybe that’s why Orange has been discontinued? As a lover of metallics, I’ve resorted to ZB due to discontinuation of LBR.

I agree. Pictures doesn't do LBR justice. You have to see it in person. I have had several people tell me it's a great color on the C8. Most pictures show LBR as a tint of cherry in it. That's not the case at all. This picture is as close to the actual color in my mind.

I did add the hi high wing and that sets off the color. I also see a bit of burnt orange in the red mist, but would need to see an actual car to make sure.

Jimmy. I have a 2020 LBR. have had it since 7/4/20 and driven 20000 miles. Have had nothing but compliments on the car and the color. I find it preferable to the new "red mist". Your call!
