Z51 package vs add on Aero Bits
I was looking at configuring my 2020 Corvette and if you choose certain front end items it removes the Z51 package. Does anyone know which is better?
Thanks,
Mike

Z51 isn't just about exterior add-ons, wings, etc. It encompasses a whole range of performance enhancing features and options that the base car won't/can't have even if you opt for all the exterior carbon bits. These are what's included in Z51:
- Michelin® PS4 Performance 3 Season tires
- Standard FE3 Performance Suspension
- Available FE4 Suspension with Magnetic Ride Control™
- Larger 345 mm front and 350 mm rear brake rotors
- Extra cooling with additional rear-mounted third radiator

No. Z51 has Michelin PS4's, base car has Pilot Sport A/S 4's. Same sizes however.

So glad GM finally saw the light and is going for the coilover in this next generation. Cannot wait to get my hands on one of these new 2020s.
Can anyone find a picture of the new suspension layout? My google powers seem to be down at the moment.
I do plan on some track days, would probably get some new rubber regardless though. Does the non-z51 have the dry sump and/or the limited slip diff?

I agree to a certain extent but there are features and options I think make for a better driving experience on the street. For example, the available MagneRide damping system will make daily driving more comfortable. The electronic limited slip differential will control wheelspin on rainy surfaces a lot better. And the performance exhaust will sound better.

There's no downside to the Z51 if you can afford to write the check. Heck, I'd buy a 3LT trim all day long if I could write the check. But for us mere mortals, where $6-12K makes a difference, there are some tough, but fun, choices to make.

The downside appears to be if you get the Z51 package, then you can't get all of the carbon options - according to the OP.
Seems weird you can't have the carbon options in addition to Z51.
