Default Configurator question

The Configurator will allow you to make a wide range of interior and exterior combinations, which is great, but will this translate to actual production? Meaning, will I actually be able to order an orange car with pewter wheels, tan seats, and blue seat belts? Or similar, that should never be ordered?

The trend in recent years has been to allow full customization in sports cars, do we know if GM plans to follow suit?

check the order guide but I doubt GM would have put something into the visualizer unless it was production capable. There is a lot more customization in this generation. Of course, I say that now and watch GM slap a bunch of constraints on at start of production...............

D30 Color Combination Override, provides the opportunity to individualize vehicle appearance by overriding recommended restrictions to exterior, interior & seat belt color combinations.

This configurator is a quickie with only a few items, really. Just wait until the real one comes out. You'll have a lot more versatility when the real one goes live.

No, the configurator will not let you move the engine from the back to the front.

Will GM continue the build your own engine option in the 2020 C8? if so how much will it cost?

Nor will it allow you to add a manual transmission.

That was only for the Z06 and the LT4 was built at Bowling Green. It was $5000. The LT2 will be built at Tonawanda in New York. I'm thinking you won't have the opportunity until the C8 Z06 equivalent comes out.
