That stinks! I guess car will be too small for me. I thought they were stating it was more roomy than c7

I'm not sure this listing of dimensions jives. People who have sat in the car (at the reveal) claim that it's bigger than their C7 inside, and Chevy themselves talked about being able to move the seat back (vs the C7) an additional 1.7 inches. That would indicated greater dimensions, in some ways, I would think. Try before you buy (or don't buy).

The only "sad thing" is its even lower than the C7. Most of the aging C8 buyers will have trouble entering and exiting the car. They already reported trouble with the C7.... It's probably a lot better ergonomically than that ghastly C6. Kryst, what a bucket the C6 was to sit in.

But at the reveal they stated due to the new frame design, it would be easier to enter and exit because it doesn't have the side frame rail to go over.

as for the room inside, I'm 6'1" and I have my seat forward and the steering wheels extended completely in my C6. I cannot stand driving with the seat all the way back as I feel too extended. maybe they need the extra distance for entering/exiting the car ? definitely a nice addition to have a flat bottom steering wheel.

Reuss said it’s bigger, people there said it’s bigger... this spec sheet says smaller. I’m confused... I’m 6’3”’with wide shoulders.

Looks like the glorious and lovely to look at C6 was the last roomy Vette, and the last one with decent luggage space. A shame it takes a whole 4 seconds to get to sixty.

Whew, I thought you were going to be another one saying you're sad because of no manual. The interior is supposedly bigger though because of no engine in the front, I think Tadge said something about that thursday night.

That is going to suck if accurate! I'm pretty much at my limits comfort wise inside my C7. Would not want to go any tighter.

So much for “they made the tunnel smaller for more passenger room” crowd...

Many of those dimensions are for the CABIN, so divide by two (for two occupants) and the differences becomes much smaller.

LEG ROOM - 42 vs 43: Doubt that’s noticeable. Strange that the press release mentioned an additional inch legroom, yet your specs have it listed the opposite of that.

SHOULDER ROOM - 54.4 vs 55.2: was 27.6” per person, now 27.2”. Less than a half inch difference per person.

HIP ROOM - 52 vs 53.7: was 26.85, now 26” per person. Still less than an inch difference per person, might be slightly noticeable, maybe, maybe not.

HEAD ROOM - 37.9 vs 37.9: Same.

C8 curb weight is 3600. C7 is 3347 (base). more power and better traction will make up for it though

I fit quite well in a C-7 which looks a lot better than a C-6 which is simply a C-5 warmed over.
I'm 6'0 and 200 lbs.

The c8 was made for tiny folk. Lol. It is Italian now after all. Nothing badass about this vette. It's so Euro now for the little ones.

They are BOTH essentially warmed over C5s, if you want to oversimplify. I fit pretty well in all three and I'm 6'2, 340 pounds and I sit tall.

I will reserve judgement until I sit in the C8. Raw numbers don't usually tell the whole story.
