What are your thoughts on the rear end...

Actually, quite a bit was said about the development and the mid-engine work and concept from the 1960s to date. I have no idea what YOU watched or listened to.

From the photo's the rear end has far to many horizontal lines, it looks like a poorly made layer cake! If you can eliminate the spoiler from the car you order its looks will improve...

IMO the rear end is waaaaay too busy looking. It reminds me of recent Honda Civic overwrought ugly design. I think car designers are in a drunken contest for the ugliest design. I hope I like it better in person; I really want to.

I think...after seeing the whole vehicle...the rear fits well. Mind you it took me a while to accept it but I think if they brought back the oval shape it wouldn't have lined up with their goal of a "super car" design. It works for me. Perhaps in 7 to 10 years I'll trade in my 2012 for one. Until then I long for my first sighting of one in person.

Great you pointed this out. I saw the same sketch earlier today and said to myself that looks awesome and better then the real car. I think it’s because in this sketch the car looks lower and wider, hence why I think the Z06 version will probably look much better especially from the rear.

If it was less busy it would be a large slab/flat surface area like previous generations and so many complained of that. Basically GM can't win. If they raised the price to $250,000 I bet some would praise it lol.

The C7's rearend is all the more gorgeously beautiful and unique. No Cruze-Malibu there!!

Totally understand the whole brand identity approach here, I just don't agree with the way the final design was executed. The rear looks a little *too much* like Cruze/Malibu.

Have not owned a vette for a long time, would certain color choice ie black help to make the rear less busy??

My thoughts on the rear end it could have blended together better instead of the design Q's fighting each other, but what i really don't care for is the hockey sticks that extend from the front of the rear quarter onto the door itself, if they could have kept that design on the rear Q only and leave the door clean IMO, then that wouldn't look as though it was a stuck on decoration.
