Default What do you think about the storage?

I may have missed comments or threads on it, but do think with the front and back storage would equal the single storage capacity of the current coupe? Thanks.

Don't store chocolate or egg/potato salad in the trunk. Otherwise I think it's nice they did it so the roof could be stowed.

The storage capacity is excellent for a mid engine sports car. Furthermore, GM designed the storage capacity into the C8 without ruining its looks with a high hood / frunk.

GREAT JOB GM!!!!!!

The storage is more than adequate for a car in general and amazing for a mid-engine car.

I think they did a good job there, given the limitations of rear mid-engine. I wouldn’t be able to load 8’ long 2x4’s anymore if I got one, but that’s not a regular need for me.

Great storage design for a mid engine. With that said, the two golf bags would probably have to be soft Day bags and the frunk will probably hold a smaller carry on bag. It is not a grocery getter but still excellent for a mid engine.

Didn't they have a pic of the custom Corvette luggage that could all fit in the C8? I thought that was quite a bit of luggage, more than 2 carryon luggage.

I went from a C5 coupe to a C7 Vert. Even thought it's not as much storage as the C5 coupe, I can still fit a cart full of groceries in the C7 Vert trunk.

The C8 appears to have more room in the trunk than the C7 Vert, and the Frunk looks like it can handle a small roll-aboard, or at least a couple of small duffels.
Solid win - cant wait to see the C8 Vert!

Who cares about storage, it’s a Corvette and a mid engine one at that. The only thing that car will need to carry is me and sometimes my wife!

I think the storage will attract a lot of current owners that were poo pooing the mid engine design. The C8 can be used for road trips after all.

Uh ... the C7 trunk is virtually unusable with the roof off and stored in it as well.

What do I think about the strorage? I don't. I have a Mazda 3 hatch as my second car and my wife drives a Honda Odyssey. I drive a Miata right now after having sold my C7 and a C8 will feel like an SUV compared to a sub 2300lbs Miata with a tiny trunk.

As a Porsche owner (and former Vette owner), watching them pop open the Corvette “frunk” during the reveal was jarring!

Storage is amazing for a ME car... can't road trip with the top out, but you can with the top down in a vert.

I think the C8 has the advantage. It can hold a single carry on luggage in the frunk with the roof in the trunk while the C6/7 can't if the roof was in the back..

I watched and thought (in a good way) .."did they just design it to 981 specs and contact Porsche for some of their leftover rubber frunk gaskets?"
For the 30% of you out there that just need to cry about something...It's amazing how much stuf you can get into a "frunk"!
Just my 2c....

Kitchen sinks will be difficult too, but the fact is they achieved their design criteria, and that of avowed users who would "never buy" unless they had room for two sets of gold clubs. Well, you CAN, plus considerably more. Above expectations. It's not hatchback any more (You know, like a Ford Pinto.) If you need a pickup truck, go buy one.

There’s more storage than I need or want. I wish they had put less emphasis on being able to carry golf bags and baggage and more emphasis on looks and performance but they have to make everyone happy.

It goes 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and looks like an exotic car all for $59k... JFC dude.
