Default Why no carbon fiber on hood and roof?

Why no carbon fiber on hood and roof as the C7? What was the reasoning behind this? I don't seem to recall hearing anything on this.

Probably saving that for the performance models.

The configurator has an option for an exposed carbon roof. These presentations never hit every detail(especially when they spend 20 minutes talking about space exploration lol). More details will come out over time.

Not everyone likes the looks of CarbonFiber on the car. The CF roof is still an option

I personally don't like the CF finished roofs, splitters, etc. I'd rather they were painted

Yup, no carbon as standard keeps the costs down but it is available as an option if that is something that means something to you.

Most likely because they were just showing the 60k base cars. I'm sure we will see plenty of carbon when loaded z51's and performance models like the z06/zr1 come out.
