... yes, the recent images have extra added padding but the Ring photos are essentially the same. The NYC car has the production light front and rear but the body lines don’t show much if any difference... at least not anything substantialy different or more detail. Same questions...

GM should stick with the front engine design and not try to be a mid engine European Exotic. I wonder how impressed the GM Executives were with this car or did they pretend to like it ?

Wow. Really. Must be an interesting world you live in. So let me get this straight...you think a group if executives are purposely designing a car that they, themselves, do not like while simultaneously hoping that others do like it. Do me a favor, count to 10 for me.

Here are some comments by other exs at Chrysler: "Design wise, it's a mixed bag." Roy Sjoberg. "I think the styling has become what i like to refer to as 'sanitized for your protection." Bob Lutz.
I don't believe that is happening at GM but I do believe what you describe happened at the Viper.
I don't know Osam Shikado's power base, but he pushed through a design that made a bunch of other very powerful people very nervous.

As far as the piece of the side scoop on the door, people are blowing that way out of proportion. It doesn't look sharp at all to me, and the point is angled down. I don't really see an issue there.
I do see an issue with the overall design, assuming that removing the camo doesn't significantly change it.
One interesting thing I haven't seen pointed out is that it appears even the side mirror has padding on it, so if they are going to that length it gives me a little hope that the overall design is cleverly disguised and it may actually look good once the camo is removed.
