I've yet to see any truly impressive track or Dragy times with forced induction on C8s. Not suggesting they don't exist but on the LT4 platform there were endless examples. There's plenty of C8 dyno numbers but those don't show the whole picture. I'm aware HPT availability is still in it's infancy and currently no TCM tuning is also a limitation but the lack of real world results is disappointing. Especially considering the cost. Gearing is most of the reason.
After having a 611 rwhp C6Z go 169 MPH in the half mile then had a full weight 800 rwhp LT4 ZL1 run 9s in the quarter and 60-130 in 5.2s like clockwork I knew C8 wasn't the platform for adding big power given the results. If I was getting an LT2 car (E-Ray or Stingray) would do the simple bolt-ons Cordes recommends and leave it alone.

C7s can get power down very well for an FR platform. GMs traction control and magride work great even with power added.

I think we're going to see Lingenfelter do some amazing things with the ER...

Throw 150 shot of nitrous on there, and rule all.

I was mostly being facetious, but yes. Progressive controller, and keep it under the 600 foot pounds or so that causes the factory clutches to slip.

I love when these videos get posted, 99.90% of owners never even do launch control, much less drive these cars like they were meant to be driven All I know is my corvette sounds great on an entrance ramp and when I get on it.

His comparison is about what I expect. Two quite similar performing vehicles with entirely different temperaments. One is stately and refined; the other is an event that needs you to rise to the occasion.

Always cool to see these cars flirting with traction on the track
The NCM track looks so narrow from the car POV; when I've coached motorcycle trackdays there, I feel like we can take most of the track 4- or 5-wide!

Sounds like a food processor.
