Default E Ray production

I saw several posts that stated the roll out would be slow but this is a bit slower than I expected. Does anyone know why. I suspect it must be either a supply issue or some components are failing a QC test. I know that many are very anxious for that call from their dealer getting that allocation but for me I am hoping it is a few months out and I will enjoy my Stingray until that time.

Disappointing slow. Due to the front motor and battery pack install, we might get pleasantly surprised to hear one day that BGA produced a long string of ERs together because it was logistically convenient to do it that way instead of having ones and twos intermingled on the line with SRs and Zs. If they are running 2 shifts why could they not just run say Erays or Z's on an entire shift?

This would make sense.

Nope they just keep pounding out SR’s and they’re stacking up in lots, killing resale value of the used ones. 😡

That's not how it works. GM has a complicated algorithm to determine the order Corvettes go down the production line, and they don't build too many similar cars in a row.

Yeah my number at MacMulkin hasn't moved this past week very much. I should be below 300 by now, been sitting just above 300 for two weeks.

I don’t think MacMulkin got any E-Ray allocations Feb or Mar. Your movement and mine lately have been to dropouts only. According to the other forum only 197 have been produce so far. Even if MM gets a large E-Ray allocation in April, those won’t be produced until Jun time frame. When does the corvette BG plant normally switch to the next model year Jun/Jul??? Originally I was at #154 and would be lucky enough to get a ‘24. Now at #126 it’s looking like it’ll be a ‘25. Chinese water torture.

I have been on the waiting list for about a year and a half, and am just trying to ignore the wait. Unfortunately in my case I'm
expecting a long time to go still!

Nice part about if we do get pushed to 2025 is that hopefully some of the new bugs or updates get worked out as a result of the 2024 rollout. Either way it's all good. Thanks for the info on the allocations.

I know! If you wave your hand, I think I can just see you ahead of me in the MM line. :-) I'm 131 now.

BG does not build 2 Zs or Es or I believe HTCs back to back for logistical reasons.Right hand drive are built in batches.
This has been well documated for a while now !

Thanks Bob for the correction. I remember now your post on MM getting 7 allocations in Feb. Hopefully you should be getting your E-Ray in April.

What I have seen is that it aligns closely with fiscal years. So I would expect October changeover--at the earliest.
