I agree that it is most likely the best combo if you don’t want the Blue.

Black with red stitch or black/red two tone. Depends on if the Sea Wolf has a blue pearl in the sun (like CMG)

But thankfully we all have choices
Yes it’s definitely not for most people. Personally I love it and think it’s very fitting for a Z06. Not so much for an E-ray.

From the HSG thread. I think this same principle still applies to Seawolf Gray. The main difference being HSG has more travel (color shifts more depending on lighting/angle) whereas SWG is more pastel with less travel. Apparently SWG has tons of metallic flake according to one of the GM execs so, if true, metallic flake doesn't seem to affect how much travel it has vs solid pastel.

In April 2021, GM reveals Hypersonic Gray to be a new color added to the C8 pallet. It is a dead ringer for Pantone's Color of the Year - Ultimate Gray. GM pairs it with Illuminating Yellow to create the C8R.

Once you see it, it's so obvious. Look at at GM's livery for the C8R and compare it to the Pantone Colors of the year, Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow.

If you're curious, here is how Pantone describes "Ultimate Gray": Ultimate Gray is emblematic of solid and dependable elements which are everlasting and provide a firm foundation. The colors of pebbles on the beach and natural elements whose weathered appearance highlights an ability to stand the test of time, Ultimate Gray quietly assures, encouraging feelings of composure, steadiness and resilience.

Here's another description, a bit more metaphysical**: The gray of cloudy skies, sidewalk cement, comfortable bed linens, gravity blankets, or low-light screens—the color evokes our collective experiences over the past year. It’s a depressing summation: During nine months of quarantine, we’ve certainly arrived at the “ultimate gray,” a state of mind—mush—as much as the color of a product. Grayness means ambiguity and irresolution. Neither black nor white, it doesn’t point toward an ending, just the continuation of an indefinite period. With coronavirus cases still mounting in the United States, that’s certainly where we’re at.

**Note: I don't agree that's a depressing color. I like it quite a bit and am looking forward to mine moving off 3000 status within the next few weeks.

I think red looks great with sea wolf. Although I am leaning towards carbon flash (with XPEL Stealth full body wrap) and full Adrenaline red

Natural with black inserts looks best in my opinion but I have natural on my Stingray so I want something different for my ERay, I really wish they did the blue interior with the alcantara wheel and inserts cause then it’d be a no brainer for me

The red interior would work but I would prefer black interior on Sea Wolf gray.

I am in line for an eray at MM and I like the seawolf gray, no one wants an Artemis or Two Tone Blue? I am leaning Artemis but it also may be a too muted. I would like an exotic like interior to be somewhat vibrant but that's just me.

I wish you could get blue brakes... that would be a great setup (with the blue interior).

Recognizing that I have no in person experience, for those who have seen SWG live and in color, is there a metallic component to the color or is it simply flat?

Yessir blue brakes to match a two tone blue interior would be awesome. I am eyeing orange brakes because they reflect the high voltage wiring in hybrid cars and EVs. Would be cool to have an orange interior if such existed. I really want to shoot for the stealthy vibe of the SWG paired with a more exotic and flashy interior.

I thought the same about the Artemis interior, but it may have too much green in it and clash slightly with the exterior. I have seen the Seawolf Gray in person, and it's special, but I would like to see it in person with the Artemis interior that is 'designed' for the Cacti exterior. The understated metal flake paint doesn't have the 'travel' like Shark Gray had in 2015, but it's a wonderful choice. Also, one of the Z06 C8 cars in Detroit for the IndyCar race had a two-tone soft gray and black interior (not Cool Gray) that would be fitting for the Seawolf Gray exterior. The pearl nickel wheels on the E-Ray are perfect with this exterior color as well.

It is a great setup! No, the factory won't do it, but there is nothing stopping you from doing it yourself
