Per Ars:

"Visually, the main clue that you're looking at an E-Ray, other than the badging, is the fact that it wears the same wide body as the Z06, but with body-colored accents (although these are available in optional carbon fiber, too)."

...and I was so sure the ERay would be positioned in price right between the Stingray and Z06. I was thinking 80 to 120K, with the average being right about 100K. Guess I won't be picking any lottery numbers....

How much could have been saved my making CCB's optional?

Honestly, I would prefer traditional brakes, make the Standard be Z51 brakes?

I completely agree, it sucks that these are standard equipment and must drive the price up significantly. Why would they do this?

Sadly the Corvette has gone from an obtainable car to a poser Ferrari and 99% of the buyers will never track their car once. I honestly don't get this obsession with doubling the price of the car to make it look worse and knowing you will never track it.

Not so sure the Corvette is out of reach - I see a lot of people ponying up $70-$100k for trucks these days.

Because it’s a 4,000 lb Corvette that’s warrantied for track use. It’s a heavy car.

Not bad...I'm used to heavy weights.. its lighter and has more HP/TQ than my current AWD "toy"...I'm on the fence now...I think I'll take the first available without the dealer markup...I'm a patient fellow..E-Ray will most likely be the one...Heck of a time to be car nut..

I guess if you like to drive your Vette in snow but for not quite Z06 performance but nearly the same money I am sticking to the waiting list for Z06.

C&D article says electric motor quits at 150 mph and car reverts to ICE only due to gearing.

Default Reveal without Revealing?

That live reveal was underwhelming. I knew more going into it from reading the handful of threads on the forum this morning.

Sounds like you lose some space though based on what someone else posted was in a C&D article?

Keep in mind those are dry weights, which off the top of my head sound similar to the Z06 wet weights, so she'll be pretty heavy in driving configuration.

I was hoping GM would at least make it as fast as a Tesla sedan, it's essentially the same price but way slower.

Very disappointing price. Very cool machine regardless.

All I really want is a Grand Sport - Stingray with the widebody. Guess we aren't getting that which is disappointing. Ahh well.

Good thing I like my current vette.
