What transmission will the e-ray use?

With the extra horsepower bump the stock stingray transmission will not work.

Umm, the extra HP and torque goes to the front wheels. Won't affect the DCT at all.

I suspect it’ll use the same as the Stingray, but who knows. I’m making the assumption that they spec’d the Stingray Transmission with the E-Ray in mind.

Transmissions are rated by torque not HP regardless I would think the Stin
gray or Z06 trans would have to be upgraded

The DCT 8 speed handles the power of the Z06 and the current Stingray/Z51. Why wouldn't it be able to handle the same base engine with electric motors to the front wheels?

Curious if it will have a pancake electric motor between the V8 and the DCT. Most of the hybrids have this, as it produces torque at the rear, can spin or slow the crankshaft, replaces the starter motor, and would allow AWD full electric operation. Is "Stealth Mode" going to be FWD only....?

Electric motor at the rear of a Zora with a LT7 TT would help a lot with boost lag as well.

No room for a motor there without lenghtening the wheelbase or redesigning the transaxle to make it shorter.

All the extra power to the front wheels gets there from the electric motor.
The rear wheels only have the same LT2+DCT from the normal Vette
Any power taken from the ICE to drive the motor or charge the battery is taken out before the DCT.
So the transmission does not need to change.
If anything it is lower stress than in the base C8.

Most hybrids use electric motors for rear axles.
