My dealer will discount at the get go. He only has one car in the first allocation and one other in the second. 3 more in the next. I believe the first 3 are taken. He took 2k off the c7 from day 1 as I got his first car.
I m in line for car #2 but I suspect gm employee pricing will kick in 6 months out as it did for the c7.

You have the new c8 which has taken corvette people by storm with orders flying in and you want a discount ? Now that's really funny

My dealer gave me $2500 off on my 2014 Z51 in Jan of '14. I put a deposit down for their first allocation on a 2020, and pricing wasn't released at the time, but I was promised a discount. I bought almost all my new cars and trucks from this same dealer/salesman. I hope the GM Card allowance of $3k or maybe more remains on the 2020.

In a word....."no". Just like the C7, the C8 will sell thru with no problem-there is no reason to offer discounts on this car. If you don't want it at this price, someone else will. Actually, pricing will probably go up in 6-10 months after builds start...with the supply and demand for this car, incremental pricing will come into play.

As I said before I got my 14 stingray in the second allocation 3rd week in September 13. It was the first sale from my dealer $2k off. I referred many folks to this dealer and we all got $2k off. Never say never and just roll over unless you like to throw money away.

Just wait a year or so...they will be reasonable, especially when the “latest and greatest” come out!

Can you even imagine what the Z06 or dare I say ZR1 version will bring performance wise??!!?? This current car with its performance sounds amazing as it is. What will those high performance versions specs look like.
Thats when I think I will make my move to the 2020 Z51. I’m not planning to be part of the first or even second group as of now.

Are they building and allocating C8's yet
Have they build or allocated any C8's yet
I was just wondering as I have one in the first round from my local dealer.

Me too. Kerbeck baby. 2k under MSRP 2 months after they came out. Easiest deal ever especially when 7500 markups were normal

I don't expect to see discounts until 2021 unless there is an issue that shows up on the delivered cars that hampers sales. Looking at the history of the first year C7's, the discount was in the form of a lower price at introduction. When GM raised the list price, that is when the mega dealers offered a $2000/ $2500 discount across the board so it was basically a wash because of the higher list price.

The c7 had a $2000 price increase alone in 2014 from early production to late... then another $1000 in 2015 model year. I think some of hte options got more expensive as well like z51. So if you wait, you will get a better "deal" based on MSRP, but ultimately probably paying the same price anyway.
even the 2019 c7's had a price increase from 2018.
