Thinking of selling..
Thinking of selling my '19 ZR1, have I missed the peak and is it still a good time to sell?

I wouldn't sell it . One year only build and the last and best front engine Corvette. As nice as the C8 ZO6 is, they have already made over 4K of them and will be a dime a dozen soon. The C8 ZR1 will be built in fewer numbers but will still be not as unique as the 19s. My 2 cents.

There may have been a slight dip this past six months or so, but you definitely ain’t losing money on the thing unless it’s really been used a lot. Manual trans, 3ZR, ZTK, with comp seats would probably be the highest value.

yeah the peak is long gone , ill give you $100k today
you ZR1 folks are lucky, because every one i have seen for sale around here is still up there. its pretty unique to see a dealer offer a purchase value more than when it was new on these and then add quite a bit more on it to sell.
$186,900 - $260 are roughly where they are within 500 miles for me.
im going to wait another year or so till i make a decision on obtaining one or just building my current 16' to zr1 motor power levels and a few other mods.
good luck in your decision.

Thanks Deb, I traded Carly, my '12 ZR1 (I built the engine at Wixom), in on this one, and kept it as I bought a C8, thinking it was a great, unique car. But having done all I wanted to with it, lots of NCRS road tours and trips, I am not sure I need a C8 and this one. Maybe my son wants it.....

They are still selling at more than MSRP!
I have missed on two at just over $165K, both sold for $167K.
I'll still be shopping for a few more weeks but the 2024 ordering banks open this week and that ERay is starting to look very interesting.

I'm not interested in a new one until I see what the C8 ZR1 looks like and what it is powered by. If it is electric or hybrid, no way I would buy one.

I'd keep it if you don't need the money. Easy to regret on this one. Then to try and buy another one later....not easy. Keeping it is much easier. I'd sell the C8 but that's just me.

If you like the more instant throttle response and hell unleashed noise of the C7 ZR1, the C8 ZR1 will be a disappointment, even if it probably is the better/faster car.

I have a little over 55K miles on mine and I wouldn't sell it for anything. I just don't see any C8 or above to surpass the greatest Corvette ever produced. I actually had a guy offer me $ 225,000.00 for mine and my wife said absolutely not. She's knew I would regret it even at such a high margin of profit.

I just scarfed up a 2019 ZR1, & I had been looking for over a year. I got one with 21k miles, like new & at a reasonable price as I wanted a driver, so I will be adding miles to it. I was able to get a M7 car as I like to Row my own & even as a old man, nothing like shifting gears, Keep your ZR1.

Thanks for all the advice folks, I have decided not to sell it. But I will give it to my son (he is 37), who says he would really like to have it and will take good care of it, so my garage space problem is solved. I can get my '63 Z06 tanker back in a garage space.......

Well congratulations to your son! My '13 and '19 ZR1s are with me until I'm gone. My C8 is only going to leave for another ZR1! Can't get enough of them, they are all just awesome machines. I may need to buy another house with more garage space!

Seems like the values on the instant collectible bad to the bone 2019 ZR1s are on the rise again. I don't seem them ever going to down in value any time soon and see them just climbing in value over the course of the next 10 years+. These cars are REAL deal one off winners!!!!!!

I agree. I read in the C8 Z06 section where members are saying those C8 Zs are going to hold their value... Me personally, I do not see that happening with the production levels as it is a mass produced car. They will make over 6,000 - 6,500 C8 Z06s in the first year (2023). Probably 8-10,000 in 2024.

I totally agree especially when the top dog King of the Hill C8 comes out like a C8 ZR1 in the future then the C8 Z06s will depreciate. Our bad to the bone 1 year build only, C7 King of the Hill, of all front engine corvette made since 1953 to 2019, will never depreciate in my humble opinion and will always climb in value with time!

Classic Motorsports magazine stated an interesting point of view on the future value found in suitable track cars. When the majority of vehicles on the road are electric, there very well could be a lot of interest for drivers as well as spectators to come to club racing events to enjoy the roar of ICE's racing around the tracks. I second that point of view. May not happen too far in the distant future too. I can imagine the C7ZR1 becoming race fans' favorite.
