It is a joke. Not being able to replace a part on a 3yr. old chevy. Mary Barra, hello?

Makes you worried to drive the car if you can't get a replacement part if something happened.

You will need to provide a VIN number, and it took about 3-4 weeks, but no issues.
From what I understand, these carbon fiber components (front splitter and wing, maybe others) that are ZR1 specific were, and continue to be, provided by an outside OEM. Probably because of the limited capacity of the supplier, they limit replacements to actual owners - and as all of us know who own a ZR1, the front splitter is the easiest part to destroy (I would imagine they make them to capacity - whatever that is).
It was funny, any dealer can pull up parts in the system (I guess), and there were several inquiries to purchase my splitter before I picked it up.
FYI - the dealer I used was Dave White Chevrolet (Toledo, Ohio) if interested.
All the best,
kev

I purchased a replacement front splitter several months ago without any problems - the dealer was great (although the price was not! LOL).

So still nothing from GM about the splitter I have had on order since January 1st. I do however have have one that was never installed on a vehicle that I got from a member on here. I also got another one that I didn't think I would get in nice shape because of shipping. Let me know if you are interested. I have it in a wooden crate ready to ship.
