Big Mistake
Was thinking about the good profits being taken by selling the ZR1's today but then I took it for a spin before the cold weather hits Alabama again this weekend. Big Mistake. Got another thumbs up from a fellow in a pickup as I approached in the left lane. I have never had another car where this happens every single trip. It sounds so good, it pulls so well and it just feels fantastic. I may give it another few months before thinking again of profits to be had.

Couldn't agree more, even in the middle of another Ohio winter!!
I think this is the first time in my lifetime, when I could actually make money on a vehicle purchase - we live in weird times for sure, but I will never sell this car.
So happy for you that you got to drive it a little - miss it every day it sits on the tender!
All the best to you and yours,
kev

You know that a car is amazing when you could sell it for 50k over what you paid for it and it still isn’t enough to make you sell it. The looks, sounds, power and the stick shift. Hard to replace at any price.

You'd just miss it and want to go buy another one. At possibly a much higher price. Don't do it.

What would you do with the profit? That's what I ask myself and I have no adequate answer.

True. Money is only useful when you use it. And the ZR1 is a beautiful way to use it. As I drive it more and more on the street my first feelings of disappointment from being too loud for racetracks is slowly fading into the background.

The “big mistake” would have been had you actually sold it ! Nothing out there to replace with that’s as rare to see as a ZR for the $$$!
Glad some are able to get out and enjoy. The long gloomy no driving in winter is depressing:/

Turbo S is a great car. Ridiculous to 60mph...and probably the best Daily Driver super car out there....BUT...in terms of fun factor...the ZR1 is a 10 and the Turbo S is a 5. The turbo is ‘so good’ it’s actually boring. Porsche makes a fine automobile...personally I need something like a GT3RS or ZR1 to get the blood flowing. Turbo S is an all around truly great car though. Enjoy!

Turbo S is a very refined and boring car. I think the only Porsches that are fun are the GT cars. Rest is just too typical, turbo charged, non linear throttle response, soft ride, too relaxed steering etc.

I have had Porsche 911's since I got my first Corvette, purchased both for the first time in 1986, have had both ever since, funny they both use the same lifting pucks and fit on the lift the same, I pursched this 2021 turbo S after selloing the orange ZR1, it was fun stock, but when you add 300 hp it's like a video game in real life
The 992 Turbo S is the dictionary definition of “hook and book.” Just consistent rocket ship launches time after time with no drama.
I’ve seen quite a few 997 and 991 Turbo cars at the half mile events making big power and trapping some high speeds. But the only 992s I’ve seen have been mostly stock. So with close to 1000hp (we know that 640 stock rating is low), you planning on doing some 1/2 miles or even 1/4 mile drags with it?
